Well you have 2 options - Either upgrade it yourself or Bring it to me for further upgradation.
Sure enough you can make it +10 yourself or break it inway like me. But there are special incentives if you get it made +10 by me. Yes I will actually "PAY" you if I manage to make your item +10

If you get me a +7,+8 or a +9 item and ask me to make it +10.
Disclaimer : If the Item breaks while being refined
its gone forever and I will not compenate the loss as it was your choice to go ahead with refining.
If I make it +10 , Not only will you have a +10 Item but I will also reward you 2M zeny from my purse. The oridecons will however borne by you unless your item is +9 ( in that case I will provide the Oridecon).
Also you have the option of making me stop if we get an item from +7->+8 or+9. Its not neccessary that we go +10. However the reward will only be given if I make a +10.
