I'd suggest using spears. Brandish Spear is so much easier to use than Bowling Bash. Without the use of MvP cards, the equipment for PvM between the two options will generally be the same; forged elemental weapons.

bowling bash is better--does more damage per hit

Yes, however brandish uses less sp. It can save some gj in the long run. Also unlike spears other then two hand quicken thats about all the sword skills a knight can get. Excluding the swordsman skills.

If you want to save money though, you could use 2h quicken and a concentration pot (awakening if u want to spend a little more ;p) and just go around training like said earilier (something like an elemental sword would help immensely if you can find a whitesmith to make one for you)

if you are going to use SP, might as well go all out on it, or use the minimum. Bowling bash does indeed use more SP but it also keeps you flexible in that you can use both the highest sp way of training, or the lowest sp way of training without introducing a spear, in which you NEED to use skill to make the spear even remotely useful.

of course, this is being tight on money. again i suggest that you find yourself a better character to make money with and then fund your knight that way--there is no getting around how tedious it is to train an unfunded knight

That is quite true actually. However a normal lance at HOs can level a knight quite nicely, you just need to watch out for Orc Hero. Also all characters will be better with teh correct amount of funds as well. I think though a Knight would be a character to get used to the game. Since it has rather simple skills to use.

ice pike* is just like the elemental sword u are working on (only, its a pike :p)

~~

I believe you are correct in your strategem at High Orcs and I actually support this way of training =]  i recommend still that he get a reliable 2handed sword for the pure flexibility of taking it to any map considered traversable by a knight using one of multiple forms of training/hunting

~~

Sapph's got great point =] I think i might actually get one myself (;o ?)
