I downloaded animusRO's conversion installer, patched it, but when I start the game, background and server name would appear as -. What should I do? and did I install the conversion installer correctly? please help!

yeah.... I ever tried once to convert my anthemRO to animusRO and it didn't work...
you should try to download full installer to avoid any installation problems...

Hello and welcome! Well, first of all, you need to make sure that there is no clientinfo.xml file in the data folder in your RO folder when using the conversion installer. Furthermore, the data.ini file in the RO folder should say something like

Code: [Select]

[data]
0=abdata.grf
1=rdata.grf
2=data.grfand nothing else.
The conversion installer wasn't updated for a while, kinda because I want people to use the full installer instead <_< It often gets rid of problems that players using outdated files experience.

If you do not have a stable internet connection, have you tried a download manager already? http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/

On a different note, you might notice that I removed the name of the other server from your post. Don't worry. It's just for the sake of keeping players from advertising other servers here on these forums.

PC issues when trying to start playing a new game (or different server, technically) can be a bummer, but i'm glad you're sticking with it!
