Yeah, I didn't play for 10 years straight but I always tried to keep a handle on the game (though I'm really clueless about stuff Thor & Nameless Island and beyond @_@) So I try the game again every now and then, keeps my knowledge of the game in check.

(Actually the real reason I keep playing the game is because it's so damn addicting. ._.)
