Title: Sprite error/Missing sprite file?

So everytime when i randomly walk to places. (commonly prontera)
A pop up window will appear as show below:

 If i click it, another window pop up instead

and it continues and then the pop up suddenly "disappears" and my ro client would function normally again.
something like that x___X

Well i suspect is a missing sprite file x___x
thing is i've run through all patchers including sakray, seems like it doesn't work.

any idea what's the solution? :<

you mean the rag_re? already did that   (by sakray actually mean rag_Re x__x)

edit: nvm :< run it again and seems like it's still patching, Let's hope it solves the prob :<

Yeah, if that type of error pops up, it usually means you're missing a sprite file.  Hopefully though, running your ragnarok_re will fix things.

The item causing the problem is the black valk helm.

Unfortunately, this file is only contained in the sdata.grf - if you do not have it, it means your sdata.grf is outdated ( = bad ).

However, to save you a 1 GB download, I have put the black valk sprite up as a download.

Just extract it to your RO directory and it should work.

There should be a diff option in the client to ignore such errors. That way you do still get errors if you equip some sprite that you don't have, but if you see others wearing it, it won't error and just not show the sprite.

That's not really a optimal solution though. I feel it might be better to give the error to people so they know they have a problem / are not up to date somewhere.

yesh i can see the black valk now @___@ it somewhat look different than last time!! xD

It would count as modifying your client / using a 3rd party tool and as such I can not condone usage of it.

In general, making a problem silent is always undesirable. You should strive to know when something is wrong and work on fixing it.

Well in all honesty, if it's just hats, then there's no issue with it. It can't do any harm to not see certain hats just cause you're not updated. It will still error if you're missing more important things.
