Title: How do I gear bard/clown

I've been curious because I want to be a good clown but I don't even know what they require for gear both PvM and PvP

Golem carded violin is a must if you don't own EG.

Try Bass Guitar[1] for PvP and you must wearing Earth Armor.When you cast seismic weapon on enemy,the enemy will take earth endow.so,all his attack will miss unless he get aspersio or enchant poison or warm wind.After you cast the skill,It's up to you to change to other weapon or not.They're cheap lower than 100k price.If you have money and wanna try it,put a doppel card or make/buy +10 xD.

You are off your game in many ways today.

1) Bass Guitar [1] casts Heaven's Dive Lv1 when being attacked.  It does not cast earth endow on the enemy.
2) Earth Element armor has not and never will reduce earth element attacks.  Fire armor, Hode and Dryad are the only cards reducing Earth property damage.

Oh and the true allure to being able to endow someone else's weapon would've been the fact that if you failed, their weapon would break.

Oops I forgot about the earth armor not reducing earth attack but the skill on its description is kinda confusing.

I would use if your a bard a large set of status style armors and elemental type armors.
then go with array of bows ranging from DD weapons to status ones you can melee/DS with from far distances. use charge arrow keeping them away and using elemental arrows corresponding with the status your using.
as for pvm I would also use bows with the monsters you are fightings element and size with the right arrow type.

as for clown do the same if you are pvm or use violins similar to the bows using AV.
Pvp for clown I would mostly recommend getting a EG just because there are many different attacking styles you can use. and of course a violin with golem.

side note always keep a dagger on you when using these type of classes since it make swapping from bow/songs allot faster then actually un-equipping the weapon to place a shield on when in trouble.

I wouldn't recommend using FJ unless your in one of these situations:

1) they are running from you and are out of sight and your chasing them down
2) they are hiding using cloak/hide
3) you are running away but be far away that they can't reach you during your after cast delay
4) you just wanna play with people by running around using fj
