My friend accidentally uninstalled his anthemRO. Although he already re-installed the game; for some reason, when the patch process says complete (when he clicks it), the game wouldn't load up.
1. Is there anyway to fix this?
2. Is it the computer that is having problems?
Also, I tried telling him to System Restore his computer, but after doing that, it still won't load up.
Can anyone please help?
Is your friend running Vista?
Is it conflicting with another private server?
Is Sakray updated?
Alternatively try to manually patch stuff and make sure your friend has AnthemRO files not the old animaRO files.
You need the Gravity patch that the GMs specifically told you to get back when the server started up again.
http://www.anthemro.com/forums/index.php/topic,728.0.html
click that.
What method did he use to install?
What method did he use to install?
The one in AceJay's thread.
Yeah, delete your AnthemPatch, then download this in its' place:
http://www.anthemro.com/Patch/AnthemPatch.exe
Did he download AceJay's mini install, or did you use AnthemRO's mini install? If he used AnthemRO's mini install, go download AceJay's and install it. Then overwrite the old AnthemRO patcher with that one in the link AceJay provided above.

I can't start the game at all, it keeps giving me an error that says "Address not specified in foxdye.ini.". Does anyone know how to fix this?
http://files.filefront.com/AnthemRO+Data+1+10+08exe/;9415063;/fileinfo.html
Download that, install it to your RO directory, overwrite your old adata.grf -- That's the latest patched adata client. He shouldn't be getting any sprite errors after installing that. In the event that he does, something was installed correctly so it might be wise to redownload/reinstall.

We did this, but still won't work.
Everytime he installs the Full Set up, it says "operation time out" on 59th% or 89th%.
I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to just drop these icons into the RO folder, but I figure it's better to check before I do anything I can't fix. Do they go there, or am I supposed to do something else?
Move your sdata file and BGM folder (if you have one) to a new folder, and Install my MiniSetup (found [Here] (http://files.filefront.com/AnthemROMiniSetup20/;9059952;/fileinfo.html) or [Here] (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2CYD7R2J) or [Here] (http://rapidshare.com/files/70259022/AnthemRO_MiniSetup_2.0.exe)) to that new folder.
After you've installed it, Patch Sakray, (see below section) and then start dyefire. This should patch Anthem.
Then just delete AnthemPatch, and replace it with this one:
http://www.anthemro.com/Patch/AnthemPatch.exe
Then Run dyefire and it should work.

What do you mean by sdata file?
EDIT: When we try to patch the Alternative Sakray, it fails.
Alternative Sakray has been quite strange as of late. Try this program to patch sakray:
ftp://ryel.mine.nu/npcs/Valhalla_Client_Patcherv1.00.rar
Put that in your RO folder, select sakray, click OK. Then click on download and it should start downloading the sakray updates.
One minute, I will super compress my folder into a grf, and you will need to use a grf too, which I will provide, to extract the files.
This should work, hopefully, if not, I will also do my best to help you with your problem.
Go to your RO folder. Look for foxdye.ini => Open it.
Then make sure it says this in there:
ClientEXE AnthemExe.exe
Address 72.55.174.209
Type Router
Then save it. Try running client again?
So what I can do is:
Use the adata.grf and sclientinfo that I use, if you don't mind having one loading screen that is completely weird *a man on fire*
It is a senses fail album art.
Anyways, I can do that, and I will look into this act error, if the file is corrupt, I can replace it.
dj_x3n0c1d3 (your name is really annoying to type LOL):Just call me Zone.
What exactly do you suppose would be generating that error for him, and how would you be able to pinpoint exactly which act is causing the error for him?
Now, it may be bad compression, or over compression.
I am experiencing the same once I used my super compressor to compress and decompress the files from a grf.
I am going to look into the grf stuff right now.
Stuff
Use a completely new AnthemRO folder.

Once you get the sakray from the download link I gave you, you should be good, this server is far from up to date, so nothing that isn't already in that sdata.grf will be in the game.
All customizations for Anthem are in seperate grfs.
I'm back, and I still can't get this client to work! :P
I'm waiting for my friend, ~*Hot Chocolate*~, to get online so I know the results. I fell asleep trying to help him last night, lol. That is just it, that sakray is a manditory file, that is why you are getting errors.
We were downloading the Sakray, and it was gonig to take 2 hours.
I just tried installing the new download, now I get the "Cannot init d3d ORgrf file has problem" error. I'll give the ftp one a shot now.
Have to restart and see if updating the video card worked.
Update: Still getting that error after updatiing and restarting.
I don't have a tools option in the netmeeting folder?
If that's in either of the top two drop down menus, I can't see it. Both of them are blank. You, sir, either need:
I just saw that Silent mentioned system restore enable/disable. If it still doesnt work for him . I advise you to download the CCleaner tool(Google it) and clean your registry from errors or redundant entries. Then try re - installing to run. CCcleaner is a free tool that deletes your temp files and fixes registry of errors , It also has a registry back up option incase you want to revert changes.
Like I said, that error is only generated when that file is missing.
If you have a sdata.grf in your AnthemRO folder, you will not get that error.
All you need to do is download a sakray and put it in the AnthemRO folder.
Here, just click [This (http://static3.filefront.com/ffv6/graphics/b_download_still.gif)], and install to the AnthemRO folder.
Make sure it is the AnthemRO folder.
Once it is done downloading, install it, use the valhalla client patcher if you want, it may not be nessecary need to be updated seeing how this server is still in 10.2
This will fix it if you do it right.
Use the packaged AnthemRO files I packaged or any rather, just up to date AnthemRO files.

Did you try downloading using the torrent?
What directory are you placing it into btw? C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO? I know that Valhalla Patcher will only work if you have it in the RO folder.

We didn't use torrent for the Full Setup.
The Sakray, we placed it in C:\Program Files\AnthemRO
Put it into Gravity\RO\ and then use Valhalla Patcher to patch it.
Until you get sakray, then there is nothing that can be done.
Have you tried downloading the new dedicated download?
I hope everything works out for you /no1
キタ━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━ッ!!lol, i'm going to save that. /gg
I'm recieving the same errors (sprite\shadow.act and sprite\shadow.spr) when I try to start the game. I'm really eager to play this server and considering you helped out two others on this thread I was wondering if I could get someone to give me a hand...?
I've fully patched the newest version of sakray available and am using the mini installer for AnthemRO
Here is the other error information I get when I start the game:

Ace, Ive read about your mastery with fixing people's bugs and I can imagine it gets quite annoying to say the same things over and over again, but Ive tried it I swear I have and there's probably some tiny mistake somewhere (like downloading the wrong file) which's stuffing me up. I get both the sprite error and the foxdye one and I just wanna play without having to download another gigabyte of stuff which won't actually help me anyway. Please, please, please may I have some peer-to-peer help rather than a general set of instructions...? It'd be greatly, greatly appreciated...
Actually I was referring to this part:QuoteIF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL:
Move your sdata file, sakray, sakexe, and BGM folder (if you have one) to a new folder, and Install my MiniSetup (found [Here] (http://files.filefront.com/AnthemROMiniSetup20/;9059952;/fileinfo.html) or [Here] (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2CYD7R2J) or [Here] (http://rapidshare.com/files/70259022/AnthemRO_MiniSetup_2.0.exe)) to that new folder.
After you've installed it, Patch Sakray, (see below section) and then start dyefire. This should patch Anthem, then you can play the game.
If the Start button doesn't work, delete the AnthemPatch file and save this one to its' location: [Here] (http://www.anthemro.com/Patch/AnthemPatch.exe)
That should fix your problems without having to download another Gig or so.
