Title: Shield Chain help.

When making race/element % maces for help with shield chain, does the weapon have to be refined or does it not matter?

Which race/element cards would be good to get?
Currently I have 2 Vadon and 2 PecoPeco Egg cards for Thor.

no the weapons attack and level do not affect it at all so theres no difference between a +10 or +1 mostly resale value if I'm right and hydras are always good and if you want to mvp get 4 abysmal knights since their 25% each guess you could make one for abbey if you really wanted which would be shadow i think

2 Vs and 2 PPE cards are good, the problem is: you'll miss a lot.  It may be out of your budget, but a Phreeoni Turtle Turtle Vadon would be the best weapon, that way you have to stat no Dex.

Refinement doesn't matter, it may help a bit in Atk wise, as well as Typh said, resale value.

actualy mirage a VVPP is best because you can still pull off over 20k a shield chain even after you stack dex assuming though you have an aegis without an aegis i pulled out 10k a chain on a kasa

Yeah, I do have an Aegis.

I have a +10 VVPP mace for Thor
I also have a +10 Strouf, Strouf, SantaPoring, Santa Poring for demon and shadow property monsters, works very well.

What other cards would be good to put in a mace?
I was thinking of making a +10 HHH something mace for Demi-Human enemies

I don't plan to PvP with my pally.

Quad peco egg is a nice one for Juperos, other places too. There's lots of formless monsters about.

I have an Aegis and I missed every other one, sometimes 2-3 in a row (shield chain) on Kasa.  I had to stack a GOOD ammount to miss once in a while; points that I could've added as Int for more Heal, or Str for carrying more items.

dude i thor ALL THE TIME i know how to build a good build with dex high str and good int an vit you need about 180-190 hit so if your using a kaho youll need less dex fuck dude i use a valkyrie helm and i still miss everyone in a while its better to use VVPP then PhreVVP

215 hit needed to hit a kasa.

8 bonus dex from job      (Naked Paladin having 1 + 8 dex comes out to 108 hit)
20 dex via kaho
10 dex from accesories berz bris x2
20 bonus Hit from the shield chain skill itself.

comes out to 158 hit. so all you need is 57 base dex? not a whole lot invested. 67 base dex if just normal berz. I really doubt a Phree is needed.

Correct me if you find anything wrong this.

I know, with Kaho I never miss (rarely).  With Valk, I miss a LOT more :(

I use my valk and rarely miss :( so your doing it wrong

Edit: and ontop of that i use a kiel mid @_@

then you should stick to your kaho cause ive done thor with my lvl 80 paladin :(

i know this may sound out of the topic but why would the Pala use a valk helm (for thoring i mean)
Cuz i dont think an extra VIT or AGI will effect for me when i got thor there (Without Aegis Tho i do it with a Valk shield)
i use 1 Meg + brez Clip + Kaho + DI DL Combo
but for this i need to get Dex but still it is good

DI + clock tower manager is useful for instant cast which helps take down sword master guardians because they have fast attack speed or DI valk + kiel is good for fast shield chains to kill a kasa before it can spiral or do any other strong attack or as well quickly spam shield chains to kill a sword master faster and instant cast is useful for taking down salamander at least it helps me out

might as well run a linked paladin then.


i prefer a kaho in most pvm cases.

I honestly like my valk more in most cases :( but i gues thats all on opinion an playing style

kiel valk + DI is same as DI valk + kiel :( lol
