Title: I found Lord Kaho Horns on the ground.

Im walking by, someone drops them, i pick em up, they want them back. can i get banned for keeping them?

I'm pretty sure u cant get banned, but not 100% sure bout that.
The person will have to pay 10 ads i think to get a lost item back unless u give it to them.
But, I wouldn't give it to them unless i was absolutely sure ti was there's :P

He dropped a lot of things though. It was no accident. The way i think it is if i go to pront and drop my tome and pick it up really fast and laugh about it... then i do it again and someone gets it... i don't deserve it back. But the thing is he dropped a lot of things lolol

I think he already made his mind up he wont give it back.

Just wants to know if he will get banned doing so or not. If whoever droped it wants it, 10 ads isn't that much for a mistake I guess.

He won't get banned for it, but he will be costing someone 10 ads to recover it.  So, in the end, he gets nothing, and the guy who dropped the item will have to pay 10 ads because some players simply don't have the decency to give items dropped back.

Well first off I didn't find any kahos, im simply not that lucky. But the person who dropped it dropped multiple items on purpose. Are you guys seriously saying i can go to pvp RIGHT NOW and drop my tome and kahos and pay 20 bucks to get it back no matter who picks them up?  Even if i dropped on purpose? lololol. that's ridiculous.

No, you'd either need to pay 40 dollars, tomes are sqi's, and cost 30 to recover, and the kaho would be 10.

I accidently dropped my Tome in PvP once. Someone picked it up and gave it back.
A lot of people on the internet actually aren't assholes. You should give them back unless he was obviously just giving away gear.

I cant give it back. I didn't get kahos. Im asking theoretically for a friend. And also, he was obviously giving away gears. But from the sound of it, if i were to call a server-wide drop party and drop 10 kahos, all it'd have to do is get 100 ads and get em all back.

There's a difference between those that drop things on purpose and those that do it accidentally. The guy was obviously dropping them on purpose. He should have to pay the 10 ads to have them returned to him.

I don't think that should have happened o_o

@ Tonedeff - if he really was dropping things on purpose, then play around with the item till the GMs recover it from him (but don't resell it since that'll be unnecessary work for the GMs)
However, consider that he mighta been trying to trade a lot of items to Kafra, using a clip, or switching his equipped gears, and had forgotten to put up alt Q - in that case, he was just a bit careless, and for a simple mistake like that I don't think he deserves to pay up 10$ if you're capable of returning it to him without a fight.

Johnsu o_O If that's how that went down, I would highly recommend a ticket, because that's not how that should have gone down, you should not have paid anything if you just picked the item up.

Also, people could be dropping items easily because someone else is maliciously logging onto their account and dropping stuff.  It's not always the actual player dropping said items.

I told him i did and then he asked "Can i have it back please?"

U know what i did?

i gave him it back... Only because im friggin nice =X

I found an OL water armor, and someone asked for it back.
I didn't give it back because I didn't know if he was the true owner, and he only asked for it after I said to a friend that I found it.

Happens to me too, I'm sitting in pront i got actually muted for shouting spam... then suddenly someone request a deal on me then i accept it. then he put bk awe confirm then trade and send to me. when i got the item i was thinking fuck it might be stolen i got to give it back or I'm screwed. but I'm still muted cant send any msg to him so i dual client and ask the guy...hes Malaysian i didn't know that in his chat hes already freaking out for making mistake. then ask him if hes really giving out his item and hes thankful that i ask him coz he didn't even remember the name whom he traded the item...so when he said he wants it back i just give it back to him without second thought! maybe its just me being kind!... :angel: LOL

If they were dropping things on purpose you should totally charge them half the recovery fee to give it back. :angel:

Well i think your friend should give back.If he only asked for the kaho's back i think he was just droping some junk from storage and dropped his kaho's by mistake.

Since everyones sharing there pick up storys:

Once i was in town and this girl traded me a DBSS, IC gears, alot of items. And I was like wtf?? I kept on saying did you mean to give this to me but she was ignoring me. I use the gears for an hour or so, go back to where she was and I hear her saying she thinks she accidentally traded it to someone, so i traded it and gave it back. I believe deeply in karma myself xD. but once again i only made this post for a friend, and the friend already lost the kahos =p

this week, someone drop traded a kahos in geffen and i picked it up. i returned it. theres no benefit to keeping it because they will pay 10ads-30ads and you will lose it anyways. the gms are quick with tickets like that.

You don't benefit but the server does /gg but like I said if it was an accident than yea I'd return but I wouldn't if they were being dumbasses and dropping SQIs all over the place  :P

A long while ago I accidentally vended a Berz clip for 1.4m (Was selling it for 14m)
He was kind enough to buy it and give it back to me.
