Title: What is better for niff?!

just wondering.

between +10 devi mant and  +4 devi valk

my gears for niff are:

Sould Ring

Bk Macho

+4 DL Valk

+10 DBSS mace

Meg

SR Ring

+4 Tirfing valk

+10 Garm Chain Mail
 
PCB,

so just wondering what garment is better.

Deviling is the best garment for niflheim, as far as I know.


Never bothered using anything else.

I actually think neither. A wolfenheiden has good defense, and can resist more physical damage, so I'd say try it out.

you need def, so +10

BUT, isn't a bit overkill to wear a +10 valk manteau on nif?
valk manteau isn't exactly pvm equip, but pvp/woe

indeed, @OP, if its a devi for niff only, wolfheiden is nice since it have certain % of reducing even more dmg

 well for niff the more deffence is better. but a wolf is hard to get a nice upgrade , but as of now i think i get hit around 20 from dullahans and less than 10 form the others.

I assume to keep the mobs on you with the reflect proc---?

Though, Wolfheiden would be better.

If he wants to keep the mob on him, he could switch between high orc and tirf.

Yup.  I guess he was wondering about the defense trade-off though.

Whether the +10 Mant w/Deviling with the shield-swapping (lose that +1 / medium monster reduc for a bit) would be better OR

the +4 Valk Mant w/Deviling with Tirf always up would be better for overall defense whilst mobbing at any given time.

I have no necessity for using either one.
I walk slowly and hit my mobs, so that I don't lose them.
And I use muff because of the universality.

Well.  The question is...

Do you find shield swapping to be extremely tedious?  If so, a Valk Mant w/Deviling for you might be the right
choice at the cost of some defense.

If you a few more points of defense a +10 Mant may be good.  But for the cost of that you might as well
get a Wolfheiden since that would be more effective.

Personally, in Niff I do this:

^  and I don't bother with a HO guard/buckler/etc.
