Title: Patcher Help.

Okay, so there's a slight chance I might play AnthemRO again.. But it aint looking very clear right now as I keep getting a patcher error.

On the patcher, It had a problem updating saying this: "20091230a01 unpack error"


So, I just clicked Ok, and then it said patcher done. So I continued on... clicked start..

then..
I can actually log on and get to the character screen, but when I select a character to play with and the loader gets to 100%, I get this error.

No Idea if these would help or not, but there you go. I don't even know if the codes above are anything related to my login details, but there you go. Please help.

Try installing this mini install into your RO folder (over all your old data), then running the patcher. If you are running vista or windows 7, make sure that you are running the patcher as administrator.

Okay, I did all those, but, when writing 20091230a01 file again, it did the unpack error. Now it says:

Cannot find File : sprite/shadow.act

and

Spr :: Cannot find File : sprite/shadow.spr

It sounds like you might have a corrupted sdata/old sdata. Have you updated your sakray at all recently? Also, are you running vista or windows 7?

Look inside your RO folder, have you tried running the windows 7 exe? I think it's called anthem_win7.exe or something like that.

Yeah I've tried. I get the same error with the sprite~shadow thing though.

Did you make sure to install the mini setup you downloaded in the exact same folder of your old installation? The sprite shadow stuff usually appears when the client is unable to find the sdata.grf. If you installed the mini setup to a different folder, just go to the old folder, and move its sdata.grf to the new one.

The palette error is unrelated to that, and comes from the Windows 7 32-bit problem. Usage of anthem_win7.exe will get rid of it, however, no clothing dyes.

The unpack error appears, yes, and it appears for everyone. Simply ignore it, it works either way. Besides, it's only the BGM for the Christmas event which just ended.

Alright, it works now, thanks a bunch to both of you~

But still, theres no other way to get those palettes to get the dyes?

The normal Anthem.exe with enabled dyes only works on Windows 7 64-bit for some reason. With the current client however, no dyes possible in Windows 7 32-bit, sorry. :(

And from what I gather, 64 bit is not heavily supported, or was that vista 64 bit?
