Does the abysmal knight card work skills such as magic spells and ranged skills?
Examples from different categories
mage/wizard/sage spells
alchemist plants
biochemist acid demonstration
indirect damage skills such as...bard/dancer songs? o_O
Assuming that it does work. What would be a good combination of cards of to maximize its effects?
Possible examples 2x TG, 2x AK mace for champions? 4x AK Mace/dagger?

Will not work with spells.
As far as I know it shouldn't work with alchemist plants.
No it definitley won't work with acid demonstration.
It shouldn't work for indirect skills either, only thing I'm not sure about is dissonance. Somone else will have to confirm that.

It works mostly on physical attacks(melee/range)... /ok

Hmm...I feel more like I'm still back at square one with the answers. I knew it worked with Star Gladiator warmths when I was using it in a book to kill MVPs. It looks like more of a magic attack because of the flames but feels more like a melee type because of the class.

Do you use Str or Int to have better Warmth Damage? I don't know you people, but I use Str.

Why do you have to confused yourself? Veteran player shouldn't be confused anymore with +% card, +atk card, magic and non magic.
http://calcx.wushuang.ws/ Use the calc so you can check which skill is effected by card.

I wish AK worked with Acid Demo.. Imagine like 120k+ Acid demos kekekek
Also, weasel's link is pretty useful. As for Heat, it's based off your Attack, it's not magic based..even says so o_O
