Title: Upgrading Success Percentage
Post by: zechariah on November 23, 2009, 12:15:44 am
Just enquiring, is the success chance higher if I upgrade all the way to +7 in one try, compared to upgrading to +4 first & upgrade another to +4 followed by making it to +7?
Or the % of success is the same no matter if you're trying to over upgrade in one try?

I am talking about armours, not weapons.
Thanks.

coz i read somewhere, chances of success seems to be higher if you upgrade in one try rather than making a few +4s first, then only over upgrading it.
Hmm..

i believed that after +4 chances becomes small cant say the % of success, but for sure the higher the upgrade the less % of success thats why only few can make it +10 armor...

That is for sure.

But that isn't what he is asking though.  :)

Ergh, that process only means that you dont go ahead and break the items one after the other, but ensures that because they are all moving up at the same time that you can walk away with something. ( Ex. +4 x6-> +5x4->+6x2 , then one of the +6 breaks, at least you have one +6 left. )

The chance stays the same though, but this just ensures that even if you have bad luck, you will at least keep the highest remaining + because your not taking all of them from +0 to +10 or whatever. I think I failed at explaining this.

This is much better than going stright in a row... you have much better chance based on my experience...
