I have a 99 sin. I'm going to be keeping it a wihle to make money. But, when I trans I'm stuck between a sniper or a sinx. Can anyone list their advantages and disadvantages if I choose one or the other? Which is hard to level? Which makes more money fastest? And, also least gear dependent.

sinx > sniper on money making

you can go to geffenia to steal/kill to rings
go to moscovia with same tactic to pwn mavkas

Listing advantages/disadvantages of either is a bit unfair here since they both play very differently.

A Sniper is harder to level as far as I know.  Sin X can certainly off a few MvPs.

A Sin X would probably make money the fastest.  Whereas, they are more gear dependent
depending on style of play.  Going crit?

That would make a Sin X more expensive then.

I personally find Sin X to be more fun.  Sniper seems boring to me, personally.

Mmmkay, and what's better a crit sin or a dagger sin? I'm not too fond of crit sins and what they do and stuff, but when i see them, they seem like their attack is weak.

for pvm, dagger sin is better than crit sin. you can make a specialized dagger to wear on your main hand and keep your DDPx on your other

like for example, you want to go to ice dungeon. since everything there is water, you can make one drainliar dagger and go kill everything there. your DPS will do much more dmg than a crit sin

True.  Crit Sins are just a way of cheaper semi-solid damage.  Slash EDP + Sonic Blow horrors.

Dagger is much more versatile.

Sniper is very easy to level if you have gears, but I never played mine without any...>_<
As for SinX...I know very little about the class.

Sniper is very easy to level if you have gears, but I never played mine without any...>_<
As for SinX...I know very little about the class.

Are you talking about Artemis in those gears? I don't think I've ever met a sniper that's
mentioned its easy to level without it.

Sniper can kill atroce and all MVP that don't tele with angle Double Strafe.

Not sure if you can use ice dungeon for that example because IP > quad drainlair because the best mob there is Ice Titan.

Not sure if you can use ice dungeon for that example because IP > quad drainlair because the best mob there is Ice Titan.

its still dagger build so it works for it.
forgot to mention, but i was using siromas for example

True.  Though Angle Double Strafe would take longer in comparison to a dual dagger Sin X with EDP unless I'm mistaken.  ???

My personal experience with Double Strafe and MvPs has been my bard only with Phreeoni.

sniper can easily match if not pass sinx in some aspects--namely being that they can cover more mvps and they can thors.

all you really need to get started with a sniper are traps and a ddtt and you'd be able to do thors. easy peasy leveling. if you go crit, even better since you just lock them in place. sinx, idk about. but you'd need your reduction and/or flee gears along with your dags.

both have mobbing capabilities, sniper with SS and BB while sinx can equip a Bapho or MA i guess.

snipers are limited and are often over in weight, but they should require less healing supplies than a sinx in a good number of situations--being ranged and all. in return, they'll eat alot of arrows and/or traps. snipers i knew like to get kafra clips lol.

for money making, idk. i wouldn't consider either class for moneymaking, but i know sinxes who make decent money. as for gef,. a bragi'd SS on any ginormous mob in gef is pure rape, but that requires a buddy or a dual client.

all in all, do you like ranged or do you like melee? lol. i find sniper more fun. :)

Yeah it's real hard cause, i like the look of them both, and I just want one that makes money easier. The thing is i like range especially when you have dd and they jus keep flinching it's easy. but i love sin. I've been sin since i played in animaRO. even though I only played for like 2 months years ago. I love sniper cause the crits, and they have really nice buff skills like mass dex/crit/agi. I like sinx though cause i can steal and i make twice as much money in moscovia and stuff like that. I also like sinx cause they look sexy, and i see a lot of them own in pvp but it's still a hard choice i can't choose :(. Also. I like range better than melee, i'm getting tired of moving my sin to the monsters to kill them it kinda gets annoying.

anyone have suggestions, even though they're biased i wouldnt mind

Could always buy a trans of the one you don't make if you really want both.  ???

As for making money easier, I'd still say Sin X.  Because you have arrow needs with a sniper plus quivers / all that mess.

I'd do Sniper when more comfy.  But I'm very biased.
