Title: Divorce = Un-Adoption?
Post by: Novice Tenchi on October 14, 2009, 01:06:13 pm
If you divorce someone, will it result in the child being un-adopted? Or is that a completely different issue? Also, if you Divorce someone and marry another person, can you still leech the adopted character if you didn't do the Un-Adoption(thats if its not tied to the divorce.)

For your first question its a no. In order to unadopt the child, you have to send in a support ticket.
I'm not sure about the last question. But I'm sure if you didn't remarry, you can still leech the baby that you adopted from your marriage, even after you get a divorce.

The adopted child of course will be in adopted status but will stay chibi state (After Divorce).  (Unless you send in a ticket which will take out the Call Parent Skills from the child). Once divorced the child cannot be leeched anymore by either side, going into orphanage. So marrying another person you can adopt another child (considering if you send a ticket for un-adoption for the other one)

Is it possible to un-adopt the children you have on the two married chars and adopt one of them that you just un-adopted? Therefore being able to leech it once more? Btw do you have a reference from that Avix? Really don't wanna mess anything up.

Well I'll have to consult Nao on that one because she did the Divorce/Un-Adopt/and Re-Adoption on our marriage ingame.

What I do know is the Baby Characters lose their family summoning (but still has the skill) when parents divorce.

Also when you do re-marry to a new person you don't have to pay for yourself since you already was married once and that you can adopt once more when you do.

That's the most I can remember on my part but like I said I need to ask Nao about your questions so I can give a more direct and clear answer.

How about unadopting and readopting via support ticket? I dont want to remarry :|

That is possible because Nao did that for our many Married Chars. Some of the kids quit aRO so she sent in a ticket and readopted again.

What happens when you un-adopt...can you set your stats to 99 again or they remain like that forever D=

The max will still be 80, as you are still a chibi character.

Like Tenchi said stay Chibi forever, but...if you set your stats at 99 before turning chibi you can have your chibi at base stat of 99 on your favor (aiming mostly at dex chars and int). Even if your unadopted your chibi char stays but parentless.
