I've noticed that the custom pets don't have their own speech scripts, and use lines from the original pets when they talk.
Is it possible to give them their own speech server-side, or would this not be possible?

But would that work, or be worked so that's server-side, so everyone playing can see it?
And would that actually work to begin with, since the Hylozoist (and other custom pets) aren't actual pets in kRO/iRO?

as far as i know, it just need to be included on everyone/your adata to work. i belive this is like a frost joke patch since its only text. but this only a wild theory. i have no idea if this works

Apologizes for double post.
I would like to get a GM's take on this or some more disscussion. If this would be possible, then perhaps it could be an idea for a event.

On the last server I was on, (where there were a variety of custom pets, too bad they shut down) it DID work. The custom pets did say different things than the original pets. The pets said what lines the guy who made the server put in, like "I love Gm ****!", etc.

I did exactly what Kurip was mentioning before when testing a server (TXT ver not SQL) with a friend a few years ago. I had the poring pretending it was a Cato-NineTails. (Presumably) All that needs to be done is to modify the portion of script where the converted monster is, changing it from a poring.picture to hylozoist.picture and changing the poring-feed-hungry="hi" to hylozoist-feed-hungry="bye".
It makes sense to me from my coding background, although, I was never a very good programmer, so I'm sure it will be fraught with bugs and compiling issues.

I have modified my own pet scripts with custom lines (using a Zealotus), but after asking my friends, other people could not see them, only I could hear my modified lines. So to my knowledge it is client-side only, unlike modified frost joke/screams. Still, I'm no programmer or GM, so I could be wrong.

it's client sided. FJ was made to be changed. while the pet table wasn't. Server doesn't accept new commands from that file as simple as that

and you cant add the new lines, most custom pets are classified as porings but just with different sprites like my loyal garm baby that speaks like a poring, i can customize it if i change the poring speech tho
