when a guild that holds a castle disband, the castle will return to its "original state"
The emperium will appear, and the castle will be filled with monsters. every guild can then enter the castle and whoever that breaks the emp first will own the castle

Random monsters, for some servers its filled with MvPs. Although Ive never had the chance to see what happens when someone disbands guild for an Anthem castle so Im not so sure if it fills with monsters or not. Almost everyone drops what they are doing to rush for that castle and cap it. At least that's what happened back in the day.

I've gone through them quite a few times when this happens and the only thing to spawn was the emp. No monsters.

Do you have to wait until WoE to take the castle back or the moment they disband, anyone can try to get it?

The moment a guild disbands, any castles they have becomes availible whether it's WoE or not and any guild can capture it.
