Hello AnthemRO community, I'm actually confused about going to [server name removed] or this server.

Can some experts in the business tell me some differeces, why should i join this and why i shouldn't join the other one?

It's just that i saw ratemyserver saying that anthemro isn't that good in some aspects and i'm confused.

Oh, and how do i modify the first reply?

show xp was bugged for 99ers so was removed. @commands are sort of cheap since on this server everyone have easy acess to mvp cards, enable them would make some classes go unnoticed just like smiths for greeding. and for the items we have this http://pc.bot.nu/prontera/

as for their price you can get mvp cards for around 24m, some mini boss cards for around 5~20m (depend on mini boss)

I like this server because of community, ease of finding parties, and because it's incredibly stable, as the person above mentioned. We've been around for what, 6-7 years? The name's changed, but the server's stayed the same for a loooooooong time. So, least chance you'll have to start from scratch by staying here!

I think the largest component in people's lag experience is their own computers. I personally can't remember complaining about lag in like... 1-2 years, at a shitty and high speed connections.

Whenever i get lags it's from my internet connection just some few times when the whole server got major lag and was fixed in 2 days

I have a fairly well Spec'd PC, and even I lag occasionally. It happens on every single RO server out there.
I don't think I can say I've ever played on one without lag. However Anthem is quite often better then most.

For me anyways. The best advice I can give you, is to try it out for yourself. Personally, I find people ingame ignore new
members more often some servers. However on the other hand, it's quite easy to make friends, or was when I started at least.
Just look for people around your level, doing the same thing as you. Ask them if they want to party, and bingo.
You also have to take into account that Anthem has a larger population, when compared to most servers.

People often mark Anthem lower because they claim the population isn't friendly. Like I said, it may be true at first.
However if you don't beg for items, use semi-proper English, and are sociable enough yourself; it takes no time at all for people
to warm up to you. Just don't expect to have all your questions answered just by shouting them out in Prontera.
Most people there are usually busy, and looking for deals. The forums are a great place to ask anything you need at first.
The people in the General questions section are almost always helpful.

Welcome to AnthemRO!

I'm Talis the server owner and I just wanted to say a few things. :)

We are more restrictive than other servers and have many rules that you should make sure to read.

There are of course obvious ones such as "don't scam", "don't bot" and such, but even some that are not standard on other servers ( like "You are not allowed to make chats on the street in towns" ).  These rules may seem restrictive at first, especially as they are enforced and punish ( with mute-times ) but over time, most established players here have learned to love them. ( Much clearer streets and easier navigation through prontera, for example. )

Also, since you had mentioned the @commands: We use a different server-software called Aegis which does not have any @commands. Instead of turning it into a debate whether eAthena or Aegis is superior, I will just say that each has its pro's and con's and that we use Aegis for the purpose of providing a experience that is closer to the original / official RO servers.

All in all, please do give us a try! As long as you can deal with it being a low rate, I am sure you will come to love it.

this is the best LRS I ever joined. the bad thing only about this server is the economy.
