Title: This is the strangest thing to do

Well i was getting bored. So I decided to sell all I hv then get a SQI that can help me grind zenny.
Things I have for sale :
+4 Kaho - 87 mil
Missy AWE - 31 mil
SK EWE - 18 mil
DDTSw Bow - 60 mil
2x Sting glove - 15-16 mil
+4 Stem muff - 4.5 mil
BSB - 5 mil
3x ring[1] - 9.6 mil
Cash at hand - 71,000,000 zeny
96/65/40 stalker and champ 89/32/50 same account - (How much i might get from it??)

Two possible set candidates:
Sniper set:
+4 Kaho
Artemis
sting glove
BSB/Sting glove

WS set:
Soul ring
Mjol
tirfing
Devi
Eddga

Which one will b better?? If i buy artemis set i can keep my kaho and if i buy mjol set then i wont b able to keep my kaho T_T thats why it has become hard to choose. Anyone got any idea??

The ws set will help more with money i think, though i never played sniper :P
I know ws rape in niff and can make a decent amount of money there.
I make about 2mil an hour if the place isn't packed with ppl.

you'll regret selling your kaho, and DBS chain/DBSS mace is not that different from mjol on farming terms

I'd like to know how, every time i try i only make 2mil an hour.
My gears are:

Myst case sunnies
bathory mink coat
+9DBS Chain
+4 Tirfing Guard
+7 Eddga Shoes
+7 Deviling Muffler
SR Clip
and SR Ring

I don't see how it's possible unless i get a kaho, BK mid, higher upped armor, and mjol :P

since nif is autospawn, try to not drag your mob for too much time. smaller mobs = faster kills = faster spawn = faster money
when i started nif i had around the same gears as those, just with different ups (all +1 except on eddga wich was the same and tirf was +2 than yours) and was able to pull around 3m per hr

and instead of BK mid, try mystcase mid instead. BK doesnt help that much
plus since i think i saw a shop of yours with "forging fund", you can get some rare stuff for forging on gift boxes. so its kinda nice besides the common crap you can sell/npc

Look at the possibilities and aspects of both classes because they're very different - although both are DPS based.


WS = Mobbing class; most of what you can do is kill mobs, whether farming an MVP's mob or regular mobs in niff/geffenia/juperos/etc.


Sniper = More possibiliities to kill more monsters solo 1 on 1; able to use traps and if you want, sell cheap Thor leeches.



Just look at what either class can do because there's a huge difference between the two /ok

just adding one thing since OP made mjol reference on ws equips
mjol on juperos = fail. unless you have one slave priest to asp you around you'll have probs with the earth/wind venatus

i wished that cursed water wasnt disabled on this server because of this.

I tried the first floor of juperos with my ws and I found that the exp sucked and it was harder than niff.  The money was also pretty crappy, but if you need steel quick it's the place to go :P

yea with chain/mace is quite hard because of the low attack, plus your common nif gears wont do
you need stuff like penomena shield, angeling and as for muff no idea (devi/raydric the best picks) to survive there

(mjol with asp is cutting through butter /rice)

If i dnt sell kaho then  i wont b able to get devi and also will lack 20mil for mjol. So all in all i m 40 mil short.

BTW DBS mjol is 240 mil right??

I gave few price checks in price check section since I cant ask here price of those. But i really need to knw those things to see if i should go to mjol path >_<

like i mentioned before, mjol isnt really needed for grinding, its more usefull for forging and pvp than for grinding. if you get mjol you will only have 60m left

if you buy +10 DBS chain/DBSSmace (~70m),
keep your kaho,
+7/+8 devi (~27/30m),
+7/+8 tirf buckler/guard (15m),
double SR clip/rings (18m if clips, 24m if rings),
mid isnt needed, for real money making you can get a simple cubic mid like i mentioned before [note: DI mid (18m, depends on midgear), check the next note why im telling this],
+7/+8 eddga shoes (~18m) [note: DL valks, around 60m, great for survability. your HP jumps for around 20k with DI mid and full vit (if you're ws, since you cant wear valk gears on non tras)].
since nif is a dangerous place, assumptio is always nice, so +5mil for one soul ring (mob with soul ring, then switch to kaho and kill the mob, easy).
almost forgot, bathory/ED armor (depend on armor, around 10m)

and with around 175m you have a fully geared ws ready to make around +~1m per endow on nif [w/valk gears, 230m]
you even save around 100~150m with these gears

defense 1st or you can't mob anything. since you still have quite a good ammount left, just farm for mjol and then sell your DBS/DBSS and get mjol

Not really,a DBS mjol does do more damge than a fire endowed +10 Dbss mace,but its not like a huge difference.

Hey kurip since you seem a pro ws ;) can I ask you in your opinion do you prefer ED or bathory armor in nif? So far I'v heard bathory is better for nif but another good opinion doesnt hurt =p

im no pro, i just use my ws more than any other char. money is hard to get with other chars >_>
i used bathory, never ED though on nif they should do exactly the same thing. unless you pvp, ED have more uses than bathory if you do

If you really want to do a big improvement with a Mjor in niff, to out damage raw attack than a regular DBSS try combining stat (int) Lightning Strike of Destruction aspect with balanced out Str. Basically the thing about Mjor is that its heavy so you lose a lot of capacity for loots reasons you ned at least 50 str to make a decent 1.5 mil in niff without hitting 90% overweight, running around 80 vit or higher with 70-80 int is about good. Reason for int is not only for the LSoD auto casting from Mjor but when you spam Gj's you only ned to spam 2-3 Gj's to have a decent amount of sp to cast all your buffs. LSoD really does kill everything in a mere 2-3 seconds and how I trained my baby blacksmith from the 70's to 90's. Basically I'd go with farming more for Mjor instead of selling atm, you would be much happier with that result when you have extra income to spend after spending big. You could run niff with 2 SR's or Blazer and Mimic to add food and OBB's to your drop collections or you can have both accessories and run in niff with a Soul Ring (auto assumper) for headgear and use rank whites (around 200 if you learn not to spam like meat) that should make you decent money around niff. Before any of you ask Yes I have both a WS and regular BS 99's already but I prefer Baby Blacksmith because you rarely see them in niff that can make as much money as a WS with max thrust and endow. If your asking how can I make profit spending rank whites and LSoD stones, well hard to explain but going from 1 mil to like 10 mil then yesh making profit.
