I was thinking on something. Ok, I will go to the Point, Why this server suffers alot from lag, and alot of dc, and manny things like that? i was curious because i had play other server before, and i have 0 lag comparing to Anthem, and i was like wtf...and is the server i ha dplayed before there was like 2k peoples online. and it is wierd that we only have a max now of 600, and other thing wa sthat, when i was on Animaro, there were a max of 2k people i think, i am not shure on that, and there was less lag than now O_o, , can someone clarify me why?

The GM said it's our host. AnthemRO is still better than the other servers you played. ^_^ AnthemRO > AnimaRO :D

this constant Dc is a recent problem, true we have had lag problems before but i still think its not horrible that you can't play.

I played AnimaRO for 2 years and I have to say, I lagged a LOT back on AnimaRO. Way more then I ever do on AnthemRO. They only had 2 zones at the beginning, later 3 zones. Now we have 4 zones on Anthem. I do believe that we are doing a better job than anima did back then, but then again my opinion is probably biased, and I know a lot of things that went on back then which players probably would not have liked. ( GMs botting in WoE under debbie rule; GMs favoring announcements for certain players under harken rule to name some random things ), but I'd rather not drag this out into a server hate fest or anything. Let the past be the past.
Our host is very, very good. Anyone remember AnimaRO under Harken? Where the router of the server rack we were in would fail once a week and it'd take them like 24 hours to fix it ? Now that is a bad host. We never really had any issues at all with our host and I do not get lag either.
The recent events have been the first problems we have ever had with the host. The DDoSing was not their fault, but they should be able to defend themselves against such attacks and continue to have their services up and running flawlessly. Either way, they probably have taken steps now to resume normal operations.
In the end, I am sorry that we suffered under lag because some douchbags out there decided to spam our host. In the end, the lag and DC issues were beyond us. We do what we can to keep things optimized on our side of things and if the host continues to be problematic then yes, we will switch. But I am confident that our host will get its act together and lag will become a non-issue for me.
Following the guidelines in the No Lag post made me typically ( that is, when the host is not having issues ) entirely lag free and even position lag free which is more than I can say about any other servers I have tried.

basically, someone use a network to send multiple requests to a single server. the server cant respond to that massive ammount of requests and it simple clogs. wich causes slow net speed and server downtimes
