Title: Tech Issue: Defragmenting
Post by: FangerZero on August 22, 2009, 08:43:26 pm
Ok I'm not the smartest person when it comes to computers nor the dumbest. But damn it wtf is going on, this hasn't ever happened to me, and I can't seem to find any info on it. So here's my problem...
I'm trying to defrag my Hard Drive, well it goes through I get the view report thing but... I still have bunches and bunches of red. and if I'm not mistaken, or I'm just an idiot, but last time I checked the Red meant fragmented file. Anybody know why they wouldn't be able to defrag?
NOTE: I've deleted the files that I apparently had an issue with. But I'd still like to know maybe why it wouldn't in the first place.

It could be a bad defragmenter.
This article should help too: http://winhlp.com/node/82

You can try downloading a defragmenter.
This is a free one that I use by Auslogics. http://auslogics.com/en/software
They have Registry defrag, Disk Defrag and much more.

well it was just my recorded Video files. I deleted them all unfortunately and it worked fine.
