Title: Could you help me with my internet?

I have wireless internet here, and I'm on the attic, I use a 300N USB Adapter as a receiver
and my connection is really poor.
I'd like some tips, really, but here's my thought on the matter thusfar:

Buying a new Modem/router: I will propably get lots of shit from my parents saying we don't need one, but
it might be enough to send in a stronger signal, yet, this one is -supposed- to be fairly good.

Installing a wireless 300mbit pci adapter card: It's cheaper than a new router/modem and I won't get shit
from my parents, and the thing is a whole lot easier to install than setting up a new network as well.

I would like some feedback and tips on how I could improve my conection without doing something
drastic / expensive. (Over 40 euros)

How far from the router are you?

Second Floor / Attic, opposite of the house too.

That's most likely the problem, and I doubt a different router will help too much. =/

I could be wrong, though.

could send the signal to the second router and the second to his PC

or get ethernet :P

Just wondering, are you getting poor connection speeds or constant drop of the connection?

Set up a hop point somewhere in between.  That should amplify the signal enough.  I can't guarantee good latency though.
