i would suggest making an archer->hunter->sniper because they don't take much effort(in my opion)to train because really they train only at 3-4 spots these spots would be: 1)Payon Doguen 2)geographers 3)Prision 4?)Niff, even though niff is a little tricky with an archer class
but if you want money, i would suggest making a merchant on the same account and put all the loot that you get with your archer in storage and give it to you merchant(only to like lvl 30 with max discount and overcharge) and just sell it, because you get 24% more money when selling(thanks to overcharge, is it 24%, close enough)

I prob. want to level up to a trans. character than having money. I really dont which job would provide the best experience for a beginner.

well, if you want to trans fast, crusader is the way to go you can use npc gears and still get to 99 quick just use Grand Cross on mobs and Heal yourself

Grandcross Crusader is pretty good for leveling to trans and making loot. Of course a merchant to overcharge is vital.
but that's why you get 3 characters per account, yes?

Knight: good for beginners, nice defence....nice str, don't need GJ Wizard: Deals damage like a god, Take hits like a school girl..not recommended Hunter: not bad class really.....just need to buy arrows for ammunition BlackSmith: Extremely hard Assassin: Hard as well to level without doppel Priest: Kinda hard to use without Dex gears and can't take much hit either Crusader: Not bad defence, holy attack and heal, not bad to start Sage: Also a very very hard class to train Bard: You are insane to even try Dancer: You are insane to even try Alchemist: THE MOST EXPENSIVE PLAYER AND HARD TO LVL Rogue: Same as assassin, but more profitable Monk: Not recommended without Dex gears

Knight and a smith would be best for now since you can leech your smith with your knight for now and you can make good zeny with your smith and buy better gears for your knight./no1

That is why dual client and leech it. ;)
Except that if he's asking a good character for beginners I doubt that he has a character capable of leeching anything ._.
Best clas for beginners is a Sader. They're easy to level. You can level them with NPC gears and the only thing you really need is some GJ whichyou can easily pay with the loots that you get.
