Title: Cannot init d3d OR grf

Yes I've tried looking (Keyword: Tried).

I just reformatted my computer and I'm trying to reinstall all the drivers and stuff.
I've been to a site to try to look up info about this and one of them said that if
I have an Intel(R) family type graphics card then I can't run RO (which I do have).

Oh man, mobile too (I'm assuming laptop).  Can't even get a cheap card to run it off of easily.  :/

Recommended:  Choose a different setting in setup.exe for the graphics.  Try them all.  If it doesn't work, then I believe you're out of luck without some other method of graphics cards.

If it isn't a laptop, and a desktop, go to newegg and get a cheap-ass card.

It is a laptop (Sony Vaio VGN-N250N). I had Vista before I reformatted and Doxugen suggested Windows XO SP3 so that's what I'm running on now.
RO worked before the format so I don't know what is the matter now. :(

Also, the settings boxes for the resolution sizes come up blank.

What would you recommend for a graphics card for a person who has no job right now or should I try to see if the Sony Store will do anything?

If they're coming up blank something is wrong with your display drivers.  I would recommend redownloading and reinstalling them.  Otherwise, you're SOL.

I get that shit sometimes. It helps if i dont use the desktop shortcut? (: Try going in the orginal folder to open RO.

Nah- I was talking about Detorres up there, who didn't make their own thread, didn't check for a thread with this same issue that had been resolved..and ignored that the posts were over a month old. Also, don't tell me to shut up  :laugh:
