If everytime you're creating a character it says the name is already taken, no matter what stupid name you put in, you might be trying to make a character on one of the slots that doesn't work.
Slots 1~5 work fine but 6~9 don't function properly yet.
Just keep trying to make a character in the middle slot of each page of slots, that way you have a 2/3 chance of getting a working slot.
