Title: problem starting up anthem

i recently installed anthem from scratch because i have a new computer. i have patched the sakray and the anthempatcher but when i press 'start' on the patcher, after the v-shield check, the game doesnt start. im using vista now and wasnt before so im not sure if that's the problem, also i downloaded the 'anthemrofullsetup' from a torrent and might be missing files? im not sure what's wrong here.

Well the game works on vista but well when i just got this computer(First comp with vista for me as well) i tried the torrent one first and it didnt really work for me either. My problem was patching the sakray though. If i were you i would try to install by downloading the sakray and kRO clients from RMS and then installing the aRO mini setup. Thats the only method that hasnt failed me yet xD I cant say for sure it'll help any though since i've never had the problem that the game itself wont even launch. This is just what i normally do when i have some sort of problem.

hm ive done what you said just now but it's still the same. the 'anthemold.exe' runs normally but obviously cannot connect. i think it's the v-shield that's stopping me from playing. is there any way to disable it?

I had the same problem on my laptop that runs XP.

I was fully patched, had the latest Sakray fully updated and everything.  I would run the anthem.exe and it would come up with the "VShield" window, but then AnthemRO would never start; I never even made it to the login screen.  I spent a week going through the suggestions on the forums, but it never worked.  I eventually gave up.   I wonder if it might be a graphics problem, but I've never gone back to try getting it to run again.

dont use the patcher to play

use the AnthemExe.exe

just use the patcher to patch and exit it

hm it still can't run. im pretty sure the problem is the v-shield. thing is many people have had this problem for some time now, and there is no cure?
