it's not one that makes sense, and it's been there for a really loooong time, like years. As far as I know, only T-T is filtered. But as Johnsu says, apparently "^^ thanks" is too >_>

I've never noticed it then.
Probably because I was always able to type whatever filthy word flowed from these fingertips.

Try typing "vaccume"

I know It's incorrect spelling of Vacuum, but it's still funny.

Lol well its not like they even block cursewords here as far as i can tell. On iRO it would pop you that msg if you had one anywhere in ur sentence. At any rate, Lol for it blocking "^^Thanks"

Ah, the things that is blocked is "^T", thats why "^^Thanks" and "T^T" got filtered.

The game probably had X amounts of filters so they filled them up or koreans have some really odd swears.

I never even noticed that filter.

I've done the ^^ face all the time and never got a weird message. If there was a filter then why wouldn't they filter out curse words...lol

That filter has always been there.  And it's client side, not serverside.  It's in sdata.grf, called manner.txt for those who want to remove it (and everyone will see what you type too)

So yeah, it was gravity who did it, not Anthem or its GMs.

Enjoy.

I don't see why not. This was something that gravity put in that doesn't take away from any game play of any type. Strangely, they don't have cuss words (fucker/fuck etc) in there, but they have some random words and symbols.

So really, I see no reason as to why it wouldn't be allowed, for you to change manner.txt to not have any words filtered at all, or to remove it all together. It does not give any sort of advantage to being taken out, nor does it prove to really be a disadvantage of any sort, other than not being able to say T^T and such.
