I believe it's for any job that has a skill give a boost to max health.

aint that only paladin and crusader though ;~; and how u can exploit that T_T i just wanna be able to sit in front of the damn changers and play around with my build but i cant do such a thing sadly

The exploit was the Faith Skill, which increases the maximum health even after you reset the stats. The only way to way to get rid of it was to log out/switch zones.

so u would gain another 2k hp? well is there anyway to fix it ._.??
Title: Re: Paladin Skill Reset
Post by: Yuyuko on June 17, 2009, 12:50:30 pm
Well, not to my recollection. iRO doesnt have this problem because they don't have skill resets (unless they use a Gameshop item). That is why the workaround is to teleport you to Izlude. It used to force you relogin by teleporting you into unpathable tile.

and you can just use rms to make your build before /ok

Why not just relog the character in the same place then? =/

*resets*
*get disconnected*
*relogs*?

I don't believe you can be force disconnected.

As Yuyuko said, you used to be sent to a place where you can't do anything and you'd be forced to relog, when you came back you were always back in Pront.

Point being you can do things to force the player to dc of their own free will, but I don't think they can DC you by choice.

It's been implemented for YEARS now, and you're the first to complain about it. I.e. stop fucking crying. Imagine all the Pally's/Sader's who play them as their Main. Ok, now let's see how many have made threads T_T'ing over it... oh wait none!

When I reset my skills for my priest, I get teleported to Izlude. I don't really mind that.

Title: Re: Paladin Skill Reset
Post by: Guardian Lord on June 18, 2009, 10:29:28 am
if the paladin/crusader is is your main by now you should not be spending  hours doing a skill/stat reset

your EQ/purpose/level at this time should give you "standard" stat/skill combos that is nearly permanent

so Unless you are still trying to figure out the character (I.e. as a new char) then the reset would not be that big a deal

reset > get warped> put in your new stats/skills go on with your life

for example right now if I plan to use Shield chain or GC or Sacrifice I have a "stat set" to go with it that's practically memorized"

well i havent used my paladin in god knows how long so i just felt like tinkering with it and such see wats i could get with wat else

meaning that you wont be resetting him again and again for days/weeks/months on end

this whole reset business would probably bother you for a week till you get your stats/skills/gears in order

after that when you reset you get warped to a warp girl
do your changes and go do what you intended

again its not something you need to be sitting in front of Anne to do...

I mean if you make the new bild you would need to test it out SOMEWHERE first..

Its nit like "Ok new build, don't know how it works but I'll reset it now anyway"

so again the forced warp is not a problem...

I kinda feel here is a limit o how many builds a pally/sader can have

which would still run you under a week to go through.

Title: Re: Paladin Skill Reset
Post by: Typhoom on June 18, 2009, 01:38:13 pm
how is there a limit?

Guardian lord: there are no set in stone builds, not everyone plays to be a efficient, some play purely to test things out and have fun.

Yoface: i do agree with him though, if you make a build, at least test it out first, there's no point in making and reseting if you don't see what it could do in the first place.

Lastly, question on the whole glitch thing, why exactly do they immediately need to change zones? i mean, it's not like having an extra 2k hp while in pronterra or alberta is OP, i mean, what are you gonna do? find some area of the map where an alchemist plants stuff and yell "BOO FREAKITY HOO PLANTS! I GOT 2K EXTRA HP AND YOU CAN'T TOUCH ME!" cause the second you leave pronterra or alberta you lose the points according to what the GM said, most people are gonna leave anyways, not like the extra HPm is gonna help them.

cause the glitch makes it permanent i believe not just temporary

and even if you do do a build Just for fun you would still run through most of them in a week

at least most that would make sense :D
