Title: Cannot init d3d OR grf file has problem

there's a window sayin "Cannot init d3d OR grf file has problem" what will i do? I hope i dont have to reinstall the whole patch :'(

Open start menu
Then select: run
Type in dxdiag
and press enter.

You'll see a new window, on the tabs on the upper part of the window select display.
Then take a screenshot of the window and post it here.

I think it's probably a problem with your Videocard drivers.

hi there, what tab should i take a shot? sorry i dunno anything much about pc's.. I changed my mobo if that info should help

Sometimes it does that to me. My friend found out it stops if you dont use the desktop shortcut to the game.

Go in the actual folder where its installed and try running it from there. I dont remember if your suppose to run the one you normaly do, or its one of the others, but one of them.

i dunno how to paste the dxdiag window, but all the notes state that there is no problem except for the display tab; it says

- the systemis using the generic videodriver. Please install video driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.
- to test DirectDraw functionality, click the "DirectDraw" button above.
- Direct3D functionality not available.  You should verify that the driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer.

Yes. I havent installed the video driver for my new mobo, i cant see the file of it. God, i wish someone can help me out here. not a computer wiz here.

Try going into your RO setup, and turning off your sound. That's the only thing I can think of, short of Installing your video driver.

By the way; to copy+paste, you press the "Print screen" button, and paste it into Microsoft Paint.
