Title: Flash drive
Post by: vahn hyperion on May 11, 2009, 09:20:50 am
Hello, there, I recently downloaded anthem ro onto a flash drive under the assumption that when I go to a computer, I can play it. Well, it works on the comp I downloaded it to, but when I try to play at the college computers, I get this error message about not finding my char's palette. Help!!! I'm jonesin for some poporing slaughterin!

the game is probably writing some data in the windows directory during the installation...and its searching for that every time you start the game...so on another comp it can't find anything and gives you an error message...

No, unless aRO has some strange custom installer the game should work fine on the flash drive.
Just make sure you have your full RO folder there ocupled wiht sdata and all that. Since it can't find a palette it would imply that either your sdata is missing/corrupted or you have some otehr data files missing.

hmmm, I'm more inclined to agree with kaitokid and will look into the directory tonight on the other comp. Any suggestion on how to copy that data and toss it into a file onto the drive and where I should look?

its not a directory thing. when we got a new comp 2-3 weeks ago i just copied the ro folder to the new comp and everything worked fine. like aozora said you are most likely missing a file.
