Title: Is Brionac worth the money ?

Hi, I was doing some window shopping in Prontera and i saw Brionac. Looks like a pretty good holy weapon but this is the first time I am seeing this spear. I currently have a level 74 GC Crusader and I am planning to create a Knight soon. I just started a few days ago, so I am not really sure if this spear will be useful to me in this server.

Also, if anyone can help me answer this question. I have a Shield[1] and Helm[1] with my Crusader, which card should I buy for it ?

brionac has no slot...its a 2h wep i believe. and it wont help your sader in GC(sine its already holy)

the spear is ok for knights, but it depends how much z u have already. theres cheaper alternatives..(like ice pike for high orcs)

does not brionac suck since it has that auto skill that is gonna put you in cool down delay for when you are wanting to use some skills?

The auto cast is annoying and the spear is redundant on a sader.
A sader already has heal and holy attacks.

As a knight get Elemental pikes , lances or gungir.

Not at all useful for your sader, unless your gears are crap to begin with (even then, usable but not useful) - for knight class, it's okay.  It does good damage in prison and high orcs, but it is somewhat limited due to being unslotted and 2h.  Still, if you train in those places a lot it's a decent spear.

However, I liked hellfire better for niff.  Unlike brionac, hellfire can actually hurt disguises, so if you want to niff you'll want hellfire (brionac is a pain for killing disguises).  Aside from nib, I consider hellfire the best niff weapon for the knight class.  On the other hand, without decent gears (eddgas, deviling) you won't be able to niff until higher levels (80+) anyways, and until then brionac will be more useful to you.

Since your budget seems low, I'd recommend you do get the brionac, just bear in mind you might want to or have to sell it again later and get something better.

Brionac is pretty awesome for a new sader I leveled myself from 70-95 with one when I started. You can save your skill points and not go for the heal skill tree, focus on GC + HC and get spear quicken. All in all an excellent spear.

Its quite good for starters.. u can go agi build plus some int with it to spec some soul strike dmg.. with spear quicken you can attack pretty fast with it too.=D

Lol, I bought a Crescent Scythe from a shop in Prontera for 250K. =X
Anyway, it looks like the Brionac is useful to some too.  :o I think I better consider the pros and cons before spending on it.

P.S Yea ! I made my first million in Ro today.  ;D

if your going to be a crit sadder forget it..sadders are not ment for melee to melee combat..its a combination of a Priest and a Knight..i suggest do not go agi crit..but..if if you want to turn agi crit make a knight and buy a muramasa..DONE

With the 13.2 skill update, this statement will be moot, as Spear Quicken will grant Crit and Flee, plus will work with one handed spears.

Brionac, as I've used it, was good for one thing for me. Messing around in Orc Dun1&2, and Prison, on a non-trans knight. The heal may be petty, but if you're like me and rather not spend a fortune on consumables, heal is nice to have until you get Tension Relax as a LK. /endcheapskate

Heal and soul strike are both pretty useless (heal is worthless when you're mobbing, which afaik is pretty much the best spear PvM build unless you have nib and stuff) - the main purpose for it is its decent attack and its element.

Incidentally, one thing really fun to do with it was killing deviling.  Sure it's a worthless MvP but it was lulzy to hit 12k damage on a MvP with no MvP cards or SQIs at all - just spiral pierce with a brionac :D

The heal portion would be useful to cut down on the down-time by healing after a mob, for those who don't like spamming meats or have enough power to one-shot them.. Kind of like the card for Slaughter armor, it has infinite usefulness for melee classes at low levels that mob.. I.E. Low-leveled blacksmiths, knights. Heck, I niffed with my assassin using one, getting 100HP back per kill, and managing to break even with the times flee didn't work.. Of course, once it gets to transcendent classes, the heal is kind of petty unless they have uber-high defence and big mobs to eliminate the need for HP consumables or down-time for healing.

Hmm to me the brionac was always just for fun.

Its alright for leveling at higher levels, if you want to grind on Loli's it can be usefull. Brandish or Bowling.

The Soul Strike doesnt, im my experience, activate when using skills, which is probably what you will do as a spear knight when leveling.

Dont let people tell you about builds and say what you can and cannot do. Its just 2k to start your build all over again. So try them out some time.

For leveling on a lower budget, grab some orc lady cards and a Pike [4].
High orcs are more than good enough for leveling to 80, 90. Even to 99 if you have the patients.

Alright, I think I am going to get a Brionac as soon as I have the money....or get one from Akina like (he or she ?) said....(Hopefully) :P
Besides, I am starting to think of a spear collection. o_O
