Title: Best pvm armor for a hunter/sniper?

Yeah...trying to find a good armor to wear. I don't want something really heavy either. I was thinking of upgrading a formal suit (1)

I have a +4 mink coat of stone curse (pest) but it's really heavy and only really worth it to a caster class.

So...any suggestions?

If you're using Devi, then try a Disguise Card.  If you aren't, then use something like Garm.

If you only want hunter/sniper armour, tights[1] is the best choice. No Mdef bonus there, but with a defense of 6 and DEX+1 this armour is awesome.
For universal armours, coat[1]s and formalsuit[1]s are good.

Yeah, I was thinking of a Garm eventually. I have a raydric card I'm going to slot into a +7 or 8 muffler.

What card do you think would be best to put in the tights (1)?

Also...why would a Hunter/Sniper need a Disguise card? All it does is silence the enemies. Most of the sniper/hunter's attacks are non-magic based...

If you're a good enough sniper you don't really need a top-notch armor like Garm, personally I use elemental armors or picky tights [loliknow].

You might only need serious armor like garm for MvP'ing or maybe mobbing where you'll be hit multiple times. I've tested on another server, and I think Noxious is the best garment for PvM if you're up against ranged enemies, because with fast DPS+falcon lock, I doubt close-range enemies can reach you alive provided that you deal high damage.

But thats just me... I prefer more of a "offense-best-defense" mentality rather than a "defense-best-offense" mentality.

What if you're going up against monsters that frequently use spells?
Instead of a Garm, I'd say get a few status armors for half the price.

The reason that the other poster suggested disguise is that if you do infact have a Devi; you're going to
be taking quite a bit more damage from elemental attacks, Aka: Skills. Disguise stops that.

I've always been a fan of the Rybo card, and Pest/DF personally.

in Geffen 4: Devi + Bathory Formal
