Title: transending?

i got a question... when you get your first character to 99/50 in their second job... what are some reasons to keep it that way and not transend? or is it more beneficial to transend?  do cards and gears influence the choice to transend or stay at 99/50?

Some players prefer to use their first 99/50 non trans characters to earn themselves decent gears before reborn.

Some prefer to do non trans WoE/PvP...

Trans classes are definitely stronger. There are gears which only equipable by trans too.

It all depends on you.
Are you wanting to stay in a nontrans guild?  That's a reason against.
Would you like to be stronger?  A reason for.
Hate getting to 99?  A reason against.
Want more.better gear options?  A reason for.
New skills?  A reason for.

Try getting gears first.  As it would take you a long time to get to 99 trans, it's better to work with what you have right now, a nontrans. xD

Up to you really. But trust me, you wouldnt like the feeling of being a gearless trans, so gear up yourself first I say. =)

ok... so what would be the most profitable way to get gears/cards at level 99/50? i have a knight at 93, a sin at 81, a sage at 83, and a blacksmith at 75

niff, by far, dual client your knight or wiz, with your bs, and have your bs greed your loots. You can also card hunt but that's totally unreliable, I'd work torwards niffing gears in the least for your bs, even if they are not your main.

uh huh... niff gears.... like what? btw my smith is jacked up, i cant get it to do anything rite... its stuck at job level 35ish

what do you mean by 'jacked up' O.o;;

Niff gears as follows DBSS mace or DBS chain, Eddga shoes/boots, Tirfling (or in the least kalz) buckler, soul ring (or kaho but I perfer Soul ring), Spring rabbit clips (x2 or one blazer clip), Develing Muffler (or manteau), mystcase mid. They are used to solo niff with your BS, they make it so you can mob several monsters at once, Most BS (or WS) make 1mil-2mil every half hour just doing this, its an easy money maker.

uh huh... wuts DBSS? and i dont have any money to afford anything close to those kinds of gears... and i think my smiths stats are broken because it cant seem to hold its own against anything... the only reason its at level 75ish is cuz im bored and just cart revo poison spores...

yes but once you have your first peice its a peice of cake, I'd reccomend going to high orcs with your bs he should be fine there, (or niff greed with your knight and bs) first get the eddgas and party mob for a priest, ask to either share loots and exp or just keep all loots. Then get a deviling or tirfling, then either save up for a dbs or dbss or make it peice by peice (slightly more expencive but quicker to making your own money). Once you have most of the items you'll be making money in niff like crazy.

a good example of trans or not is alchemist class, alchemists are .............. while bios pwn
for money, its what most people do, farm cakes non stop. you can get tons of money that way

lol you can't be rich in a day, hell I have a friend who has played the game longer than i have and still has trouble making money/ leveling, but he keeps at it, and when I feel pity for him I lend him my niff gear and he's made about 20 mil just from niffing here and there. Ads will give you your foothole into leveling and making money like a pro, you just need to keep at it with time. Make as much good friends as you can and level with them. If leveling ends up too hard you can do what I originally did was  make a sader when leveling got too hard, I transed mine in 3 weeks after leveling 2 hours a night, even on low end gears they will do well, and I used that money I got from transing in niff to buy +8 eddgas boots and a +10 db mace and I worked from there.

haha ive been playing since anima... with a loss of an account... and i still have only made 3mill zeny total... with all my characters combined...

I played since anima too and till just a few days ago I finally got my own niff gears. x_x

i started at anima, too...back then i got a doppel from voting and about 2m ingame...i quitted for a while...now i came back...and learned from the guides how to earn money...they are working good...also found my own ways...and little by little i get the equipment i need to make more money...it's just hard work and patience...

yea i was working on the cake way in razermans guiide but i got screwed because dual clienting on my computer is impossible lol

you don't really need dual clienting to farm cakes...make a rogue...learn autosteal...get enough flee to dodge cruiser and you have no probs in TF except of the little doggy xD

i dont mind not leveling as long as im making lots of zeny... and visa versa... so i guess taking one option out will be ok... but i feel like i should have better cards/gears before i trans... i was just trying to find other peoples opinoins

while getting my priest to 97 i got almost everything for IC...so i suppose when i get to 99 i'll have everything needed, except kahos porbably...
so in my opinion it shouldn't be hard to get better equip while leveling a trans to 99...

u dont have to "have" fancy gear to play this game
I sometime use my "almost npc" gear sin to play with the noob
just get your char to trans and forget about money...u'll never have enough

so wut ur saying is no matter which character gets to trans first (Knight, sage, blacksmith, assassin) just do it and forget about the other stuff?  and seriously which character would be easiest to trans... i just wanna get a character to trans... i wanna kno wut it feels like lol

Knight/Crusader are probably the easiest without great gears.

I got my knight into the 90s with gears under 1m in value, and by the time I was level 96 I had made enough zeny niffing to afford two lh3 leeches, which got me to 99 so I could trans.  I'm told crusader is pretty easy to trans with NPC gears too, although I haven't tried (I have better gears now, but my sader is still a nub because I'm too lazy to try =P)
