Title: Moving sprites for sigs
Post by: Arania on December 15, 2007, 06:45:21 am
I was wondering where I could find a sprite generator that made moving sprites, I tried ragnarokcs but it wont allow me to save the gif. Oh and for those using Macromedia Fireworks, how do i put gifs into sigs?

You could screenshot each frame of the would-be-gif and go edit it so you only have your sprite. The go into adobe image ready or something and animate it frame by frame. I've never used Firewoks so i don't know how that would go.

o.o; You would seriously screenshot each and every one of the frames he wants in his sprite? If you want a walking sprite you find a sprite simulator and use that. Ragnarocks for example gives you moving sprites if you want to, you just have to save each frame. But it's a lot less trouble then taking screenshots in game especially when the game could run up like 24/fps.
Also there's sprite sheets of every single job, hairstyle, and color available for download. Build up your charcter with those and use them to animate, it's still a lot less hassle then taking screenshots

The sprite sheets are individual images of each class doing things. There's sprite sheets fro walking, attacking, dying etc. You just need to find the right sheet and get the right head there and then it's pretty much copypaste after that. But if you're only planning on making a walking sprite then use ragnarocks, and there's no need to screenshot. There's a little button there that allows you to sae the images it generates.

You can make it walk using simple Photoshop--->Imageready Importing /ok Theres quite a few tutorials, if you look then up on Google, and they look really good.

When you click that it will give you an image you can save. Remember that you have to save all the frames separately, so use the pause button there to stop the animation, then click on those two buttons on the side to get the aniamtion to go one frame at a time.
