Title: MirAI troubles....
Post by: Aroodet on January 08, 2009, 09:40:09 pm
I know that there has been numerous posts about mirAI, I have read through a ton of them and I still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Yes, I am new to playing an Alchemist and I'm sorry in advance if it's really a dumb question or an easy problem to fix. ok. I downloaded MirAI and installed into the RO, AI, and then USER AI folder. I opened the control panal read all about it on one of the guides and set it up accourdingly. I saved it. I then logged on and typed /hoai to change it to the user AI but my homunculus still won't attack anything unless I alt-right click it twice. I've changed it back and forth between passive and aggressive mode (alt-t) still nothing. and I've made sure I have been fighting mobs that are set to attack on my list in the config. Again I'm really sorry if I'm missing something basic, but I really want to play my Alchemist and this is just frustrating. I hope someone can help me out. >_<

1. If using vista make sure config file has admin privileges.
2. Make sure you install in the RO folder not Ragnarok Online one.

Thanks for the response, but I don't run vista and I made sure to save into the RO folder.

you may want to try re-installing mirAI after deleting all the AI files. Part of the problem involves the new mercenary system, and when the new client downloaded, it may have overwritten parts of your AI stuff...
other than that, if it still doesn't work, you may want to use the older client whenever you plan on using your bio... be warned that this will cause you to disconnect from the server if you ever run into someone equipped with anything newer than your client can support.

I am not having the same issues as you are, however I am still having issues with MirAI.
I run Vista however I gave admin permission on the Config application, set everything as I was supposed to...
However the two things that aren't going to what I've specified are the Auto-Potion Pitcher and the Auto-Cart Revolution/Spell Casting of weapons. Someone mentioned they think it's because of the new client? I don't believe that has been confirmed yet.

I got mine all figured out. I had to actually go in and change the script in the AI LUA file of the program from "getmymonsterA" to "getmymonsterB" so that my Amistir would be aggressive. I found that out after searching though another guide. Yay now I can play! Thanks for your help though guys.

Gravity took out auto player spells since implementing the mercenary system. They didn't want people to be able to all auto-cast spells by using a mercenary. Since you're running the new client, none of your auto spells will work. If you run the old client, it will work, but you're liable to crash (get an error and get DC'd) when someone with new stuff comes along.

I guess I'm a little behind the times ever since coming back. What IS the mercenary system?
And so I suppose this means the auto-potion pitcher and auto-attack will never work again then?

and..i guess gravity changed it so yeh it probly wont work unless someone has a way of changing MirAI or the way gravity made it.
