Title: random warping illegal or not "not talking about pvp"

is making a warp for no other reason to make it and then someone walks in to it randomly and they die am i at fault at all
after all from what i know if they don't ask for it and i make the warp i am not at fault for anything that happens if they go in
no i am not talking about pvp or someone being rude trying to warp  ppl by making them walk into a warp
the other day when ppl asked me for warps i warped them to where theywanted to go but every now and then after no one asked for a bit
i would make some random warps for fun
i think i got like 20 ppl killed /gg which i find really funny when ppl go in a warp they didn't ask for and die
i personally get tired of ppl allways walking into warps that they don't know where it gos ppl need to learn to ask
and not assume
also ppl asking for warps and not thinking that maybe it is costing the priest some zeny every time
once you get a missy it doesnt cost you anything but untill then each warp/res/ME/santuary cost 1 BG which adds up



ok now that i have said that please say what you want and please no cussing
and be warned that if i make a warp that you didnt ask for check before walking in other wise its your falt

Yea its not your fault!

I have the same problem,i open a warp to a place IM going to go to,and then someone randomly walks in,

Then they ask for a warp out or something and im like, "I didnt tell you to go in,so im not getting you out"

Its annoying really but hey,it's their own fault for going in without asking where it leads to or something. =/

If you are warping people to a map that kills them then that is against the rules. O:

But, I guess it is their fault if they walk into your warp without asking you where it goes to.

"Do not warp players using Warp Portal without their permission."<---- thats what the rules say

i am not warping anyone anywhere with out there permission
they choose to walk into a warp that they have no idea where it go's and didnt ask for

There have been people punished for opening  a warp in streets and people walking into it (by accident supposedly) and dying. Your best bet is to open the warp portal off of the main concourses so that if someone does walk into it, die, and file a report you'll at least have a little bit of defense.

What would be useful is if Warp portal was only usable to those with the skill or in the same party

That way We have a reason to say sorry i cant warp you there?
And maybe less Priest/High priest get less nag about a warp to niff.


but like wise i warp myself in my own town south and people still follow me and get sent to odin/Fields i mvp with
champ using gems and get nagged to give a warp out and i usually just fwing away  :laugh:

So if I went to guild's save city and decided to "Accidently" walk into a warp and it happened to be an Exp Loss map I could report them >_> how broken is this rule <_<

umm that's messed up
how can someone report someone for making a warp "they never asked for a warp" and they walk in then die. They could report the warper? I can understand in PVP but how can anyone get into trouble for warping ppl who "decided" to walk into there warps mistake or not if they ask and get the wrong warp thats diff
also how do you mistakenly walk into a warp anyways when walking down the street in pront street i have seen many ppl make warps and i allmost walked into them but i haven't walked into one yet that i didn't mean to walk into
besides what ever happend to ppl taking responsibility for there actions after all "If you walk into a wall is it the walls fault or yours?"
also you would have to be pretty mean and tricky to get the timing right to have someone walk into said warp if that's even possible

I guess in this case, its not about rules or punishment. Its about manners, karma, or just plain kindness.

If you're off making warps in a busy prontera, where people often come for niff warps, and many times people will simply assume that a portal open in prontera is going to niff - and quite often, its true - then really, you're a bit of a jerk.

If you're in some random city, less occupied, and making warps for your own sake, then by all means, go ahead.

But you're saying that you're getting a kick out of seeing others lose exp for no good reason. Its not against any current rule, but its not very nice.

humm true i don't mean anything meen by it but all i ask is ppl to stop walking into random warps and ask first i am getting tired of making warps for my self and ppl walking into them i normally make warps to mvps or something and if someone asks i will warp them to niff with out any care but i am not laffing at them losing exp i am laffing at them acting first before asking and i have walked into warps my self that i thought were to niff but /heh to my supprise they weren't which is my fault

the other day when i was testing out how many ppl would ask about the warps only like 5 ppl asked about the open warps the other 20-40 ppl just walked into them again and again a few ppl did it like 2-4 times
i had like about 30-50 ask for niff warps which i gave them warps to niff
also i don't think its karma when they ask i give them the warp i dont mind warping ppl to niff
and i actuly had a few ppl ask me to warp them again and again even some asked for those random warps which i found really really weird

i guess i am just seeing how ppl would react and to see if they learn from it and also seeing how ppl think
i try to help ppl out when i can i just get tired of ppl acting with out thinking or ppl who are just plain rude

okay here's the obvious thing you seem to miss;

warps are temporary u__u they last a short time and then they close. If they just stood around and asked "is that going to niff?" The warp would close and you'd have a mildly annoyed priest going "well you missed that last one, I'm not wasting another BG just cause you were slow"

and THAT is why a lot of people will not ask. They dont want to risk it being a niff warp that they'll miss.

you weren't "testing out" - face it, you were just messing with people's heads u__u

Your judgeing ppl to quick there also if they missed the warp then ask or ask another priest or even better yet make a aco like many other ppl and warp them self that would solve there problems
But umm i still have to say what ever happend to ppl taking responsablity about there actions not to mention ppl need to not be in such a rush
its still the
"If i walk into a wall is it the walls fault or mine"

answer its mine becuase i chose to walk into the wall and if someone laffs at me for it well i guess i asked for that one
its all most a moral question i think

but you're not a wall, are you? You're a person, who also has judgment skills, and the perception to know that people will often want niff warps, and that what you were opening, were false warps. That you would sometimes open niff warps would give people the impression that you were offering them, so when they see you again, and see that you have a warp open, they would say to themselves "oh, he opens niff warps for people, this one is probably a niff warp"

humm your not geting the wall thing its about them not me and not taking responsablity for there actions and accepting that they should have asked
also "IF they ask they get niff" its simple take the time and ask
your excusing ppl for being lazy maybe thats not your purpose but you are your saying its ok to assume and not think about it and then blame someone else for when they die
sorry buts thats what it looks like your not even considering that maybe there part of the equation your just saying that becuase i am a priest i and ppl have asked for niffs that every warp i make is a niff warp i have even had ppl ask for other warps and then some ppl went into thoughs

they didnt ask thats how they assumed if you dont check first then sorry
sorry but i dont see how thats messing with ppls heads if they didnt ask where it go's or for a new one then its really there own foolishness and not taking the time to ask
i dont like it when ppl just keep on assuming such things its like if someone sees a priest they think free warps but never for Super Novice or acos or even monks/champs<--- those classes have the same warping skills as a priest you get warp as a aco not as a priest
lil_dragon_blue i think you trying to defend ppl which is nice  and you trying means you care about more then your self "i could be wrong"  but ppl have to make mistakes inorder to learn from them all they have to learn is to ask is it that hard?
i ask questions all the time about stuff and i do get some anoyed ppl but thats not going to stop me from asking

i was testing wether ppl were that ...... i dont know a good word for it but they were just that and sorry for the ppl who got killed and lost exp but make sure to ask other wise
the only one you can blame is your self i may have been a part in the equation but your the one who went in and didnt ask for the warp so if it leads you to death remember you chose that
i would think that would be common sence


humm i am going to bed  so read it and think about it
this sort of problem wouldnt come up if ppl took responsalbeity for there actions after all its there choice to ask or to walk in or not i just make the warp
thats like life you make a choice and you have to live with it wether you want to or not
