Title: Card combo question

I just wanna ask regarding combo cards, like the Geographer cards and Loli Ruli, cause they both have a little thing added in the end for the Acolyte and Mage class respectively. Just wanted to know whether if used by the appropriate class, we get to acquire the bonus even without the full combo of the set.

its just as like merch combo, the hylo card works alone (polymorphic) however the myst case card (cubic) need the hylo to drop gift boxes. aka, you start getting the combo after 2+ cards
however for the aco combo you need most of the cards. see http://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=item_db&comid=28 for more info

Sorry I still don't understand after looking at that. What I was wondering whether the specific class bonus stated can be obtained even without the fulfillment of the combo.

this is not true as far as i know. I used a myst case card with my rogue in toy factory to get extra income, and i could get boxes. havent tried recently, so i need some confirmation about this.

In those combo class cards, there is always the normal effect and below it says [aco class (or other class)] and below that says that its part of the this and that card combo effect. the effects below the [Name Class] spot are aplicable to the class as soon the char equips the card. when the char gets all the combo, it gets the normal bonuses + the class specific bonuses + the card combo bonus. If this isnt like that, then i have missunderstood this whole thingy for like 6 months >.>

if you're talking of obbs, myst cases drop them, since myst case card only drops gift boxes with hylo combo.

and no, you're correct on the bonus thing.

Myst Case Card drops gift boxes without the need of any other card.

Mimic drops obb without the need of any other card.

just to clear this out, seems theres one confusion here. the gift boxes that the myst case card makes monsters to drop are these ones (http://file3.ratemyserver.net/items/small/644.gif)

the box that myst cases drop naturally is one obb (http://file3.ratemyserver.net/items/small/603.gif)

If the card effect is in the description before the list of cards it combos with, then you don't need the combo cards for that specific effect. Any effects listed after the list of combo cards will require all cards listed in that combo to be equipped at the same time in order to receive that bonus effect.

As far as the gift boxes vs obb's:

The Myst Case monster drops obb's occasionally.
The Myst Case card gives you a chance of getting a gift box drop with each monster you kill.

The effect of the Myst Case card is not combo-dependent. In fact, the only card in the merchant combo list that has some of its effects which are dependent upon having the full combo is the Hylozoist card. All other cards in the combo (Raggler, Myst Case, Baby Leopard, and Zipper Bear) do everything in their description without the combo.

It is also worth noting that equipping two Hylozoist cards will not double the combo effects (+20 luck instead of +10, etc, etc). The regular effects (% chance of polymorphing monsters when you hit them) will double, but not the combo effects since you can only wear 1 of each of the other cards (except Zipper Bear since it's weapon-slotted).

no combo effects will take effect unless you have the entire combo equipped. you don't get any special effects from the cards, such as hylo card dropping OPB, except when all the cards are equipped (zipper bear, baby leopard, raggler, hylo, myst case)
