Hi, What's The Lowest Age A Person Can Be To Play This Game?
Yeah, I Just Got To The Point `Coz Someone I Know Wants To Play aRO
And He Wasn't Sure If He Was The Right Age ... ::)

lol no right age..if your friend know how to click mouse ,use keyboard ,willing to learn & dont have intention to be jackass (scammer etc),surely he can play

the game itself doesn't have any age requirements, but think of the following factors and how they could influence the young mind before making your decision;

a) the influence of others in the game - most are teens, who'll swear, say inappropriate things, and occasionally hit on this person
b) the influence of the game itself - its a 'neverending' game, can this person deal with proper time-management? Is his/her studies going to go in the dump for later years as he picks up the habit of such addictive video games now?
c) game mechanics themselves - its rather time consuming to really get anywhere in RO - I would think that anyone less than 10 years old would quickly become frustrated with that, as they probably dont have the patience to lvl up and 'grind' or farm for money.

in the end, you'll have to use your own judgment to see if its appropriate or not for this person to play :/ I know I'm not letting my 11 year old sister play till she's 15+, because of a and I don't believe she can handle b.

RO is T in the ERSB for fantasy violence and language, so age's 13 and up ( if anyone cares >.>)

Also ERSB doesn't rate online interaction

                          Time management is another thing, never thought about that  ::), probably the hardest to comply with along with youth and young ones  :-\.



@Asguard :  Yeah alright, in the first place I thought it was age 13+, that was helpful, really re-assuring lol  :laugh:

I'm 12 almost 13 I play sure I get frustrated sometimes but I'm pretty sure everyone does.You just need to know who to hang out with.If their messed up don't hang out with 'em...  :-\

I think my brother started playing when he was only 7 years old. But yeah, anyone who knows how to use mouse and keyboard can play this game. :D

I joined Ultima Online when I was around 9, I'm currently 18 and still playing MMO's.

It's very dependant on the person, there are some people who are 30+ who are immature and some who are 12 and very mature.

I believe it's something to do with how sheltered you are aswell, if your friend has regular access to the internet chances are there is little on aRO that will surprise him\her.

Younger people as a general rule should read and re-read the rules more-so than an older player, especially the part about swearing not being moderated nor punishable.

Is he calling me mature (wow that's a first since I'm 12....) but he's right my brother's in college and his roommate is 28 and wastes all day playing Super Mario Galaxy that's as immature as you can get....Don't become that person no matter what

Don't think the is an age limit.

My elder son is 9th now, he has been playing for 2 years. He understand the built, skill and on his owns now, btw sometime he do pvp also.
My second son is 6th now, he sometime also help me to pvm.....

But, the is a control needed.

I think you're the one who needs to be more literate. dputra's english is perfectly understandable.

you can start the game at any age as long as you can understand the environment of it.
