Okay, this never happened on my SinX, nor my sage, but it used to on my baby priestess and my dancer:
The exp gained would pop up in blue in the chat.
How do I make it do this? :< It was helpful.

I think they removed it. Was causing some issues for people.

no, digi is talking about the one that used to show much exp you got when you did damage to a monster (and it died by someone else) or killed a monster by yourself. it showed the exp as a number and how much percent of your current level it raised. I figured the gm's got rid of it, but i couldnt figure out why. I'm with digi, it was really helpful to me.

Yeah, lion has it right, that's what I meant. I liked it when I was leveling my aco, cause a bunch of us would gang up on 1 zombie, and it would show the % I got. xD

They removed it b/c it was cause some type of client issue for some members.
It always showed exp. If u were base 99, you would see the exp you would have gained(or if u were like guild tax'd) but the % number it showed you gaining was 00. Even if it was helpful, the client issues preventing some people from playing were enough to force them to remove it.

This effect was in a client made by Zapbomb, I believe it was part of the new style. It's similar to eAthena's /showexp However, I do not know if, or why it was removed. Possibly cause it required more bandwidth to use?

that is a good guess there on the bandwidth but i doubt that is the reason.

When zapbomb joined our team, Zapbombs client was made the official client, meaning it would download through the patcher. It has since brought many positive changes to our server. No more bots, in built dyes and a ton of other convenient things.
The EXP addon he had made caused some people to have their RO crash on them, so it was removed until all bugs can be ironed out. It will be back once it has been deemed stable /ok

No. Sorry, please understand. Timeframes mean that we, the developers, are rushed to get something done in time, rushing comes at the cost of quality. Lack of quality means technical problems which we have to handle and frustration on the player side.
I believe it is better if we take our time and try to work it out as good as we can to present you with a working, stable revision of the feature. /ok
