Title: Job change

I am a thief, and i am at 58/42, should i job change, or lvl up Job to 50? Is there a difference?

Always 50 in my opinion. You need as much Job Points as possible

if you change with 40 , you miss 10 points which u never get back.
if you change with 50 you got all points u can ever get. as a Thief non trans i would say dont got job 50, you dont need the points.
but as  high thief (trans ) do it, or you wont ever be able to sellt hat char.

lol my sin's dont get to job 50 cuz i dont use all my skills anyway, but its nice whne ur high thief cuz..theres no return!

Is this your first time job changing? I was confused a little too about how it works when I first started, so maybe this'll help;
 it works like this -> when you get to job 40 and then you job change, you'll get to keep those 40 job points but start over again at job level one 1 as a sin/rouge. If you wait till job 50 before you job change, you'll keep 50 job points and start over again at job lvl 1 (your base level doesn't change)
so if you go all the way to 50, you'll get 10 extra job points to use to your skills /ok
