Title: Voting/AD Sponsors and College IPs
Post by: Mercury on November 14, 2008, 08:45:49 am
If I'm connected through a router, or the Wireless along with someone else who goes to my school and shares the internet, can we still both vote on our own laptops and accounts? Or will we be wrongly accused of fraud?

So even if it's on the same connection, but different computers and there's only one person/account on each computer, it's okay?

1 offer, per house hold.
Meaning, 2 people, cannot do the same offer.

Ah yes, but does a whole University count as 1 household since it has the same connection? Or even the same dorm? I apologize if this is bothersome.

By per household, it means per home, per IP. If your school only has 1 IP, then I would say that only one of you can do it. However, if you guys have more than one IP, it should not be a problem.

i think it should be fine as each computer gets its own ip or there would be problems. as its a school the ips would be similar but not the same. so the schols network ip would be like 255.210.38.x with your ip being 255.210.38.1 and your friends ip being 255.210.38.2
if people had the same ips the internet would be wierd as the data would't reach the right person.

isnt it like : the router has 1 ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and the computers in the network get ip s like 192.168.1.1 , 192.168.1.2 so better dont do it on offical networks. just like if your using a proxy to get into the net. chance is to high that some1 else is using that ip.
