The ability to view someone elses profile has been disabled on this forum. /ok
Which in my opinion is completely retarded and unneeded :>
It prevents harrassment from Player to Player and also helps prevent stalking >_> I could easily flame the same person over again by checking their profile and posting where they posted...there is no reason to view other profiles.

also you could see where people post and find out who the beta testers are. i think they removed the member list because of that.

.... ...... ........ If that's the only reason then it's even more retarded then I thought >_> Can I introduce you to the search function which allows me to look for posts by a certain person! Damn! I can like go around stalking and harassing people due to that! And seriously, this is the onyl forum I have ever been on which had profile viewing disabled since it "encourages harrasement" I've never seen something as simple as profile viewing encouraging harrasment. This might be due to the fact that it actually doesn't!
Annd don't we kinda have like over 9000 GM's and forums mods here to prevent harrasment and flaming?

Errrmm....No? >_> Forum admins have this neat ability to hide forum sections, they won't come up on search results or anywhere for that fact. I'm 100% sure there's a GM board in Anthem forums, but even if I went through every single post Denia has ever posted on the forums I wouldn't be able to access the GM section.

Hmm but then again why is it so important to know what someone else posted ;Da if like you said we have a Search Function so there shouldn't be any complaining right... and our over 9000 GMs shouldn't have waste time on silly harrassment cases just because they let people view each others profiles...!

On Anima's boards there was a problem with people stalking profiles, comparing posting times, and posting styles of player posts to GM posts, trying to figure out if someone was a GM. From what the GMs have said, it sort of sounds like it was successful. So, yeah.

Because profiles make it much faster and easier >_> Not to mention other things such as Age, location, local time etc etc. And indeed, over 9000 of GM's shouldn't be wasting time in harrasment cases, which is why we have forum moderators! I honestly doubt it would cause any sort of harrasment anyways >_>

It's the person's own fault if they put their age and location in a public forum and bitch and whine when people find it out.
And the Advanced Search function is... quirky. You can't search for posts by GMs, and sometimes it's impossible to find a post you actually want/need.

Hold on a min, I'm gettin confused, are you talking about viewing someones profile, or searching through profile names? (Both have been disabled)
