Title: Why do GMs nerf droprates from MVP like Lh3 ones?
Post by: makaveli on October 17, 2008, 12:09:54 pm
i dont really understand it, now lh3 mvp arent even worht killing it, you can hardly kill them with mob spawned with a big party , and for what would ya do it, exp? no , the exp mvp is kiel. so what to do? wait for server reboot to get mvp with books? items wouldnt be that expensive if they wouldn't be nerfed so much and guys im not talking about valk drops, these are okay at 3%.

What do you mean their not worth killing they give you a level per kill...

i mean when LH3 mvps got their hard mob spawned ( LK, Sniper ; HP etc...) its pretty hard to kill them , even with a party, because they tele now. So you still get a lvl from them but u cant really decide which player get the level cuz they r too hard. -> they arent worth to kill for exp, they would rather get Kiel (alot easier , can be ice walled) and they arent worth to kill for drops (very low drop chance + not valuable enaugh)

LP and u can still choose who will get mvp but yeah..soon the sqi price will rise again since a few of SQi ing is from lh3 well we can always depend on champs to solo and selling it way much higher than now

Fact is, people used to be able to solo them. Still can, as long as you can run two clients without lag.
People always moan about the Economy, without knowing anything about it. You NEED some items to be hard to get. You need things to go up in price, not just down. Once you make things harder to get, you drive up the price for that item.
I'm not sure why it doesn't sink in on alot of people, that this is good for the overall economy. This in turn, increases the amount of money that people will get from selling these items.
Now best of all, This "profit" they make off the items, will 90% of the time, be going into the money sink, that is the Train. That, is economy. Money going in, and money going out. Does it work out best for you always? Of course not.
