well i was wondering wether i should change my merch into a Blacksmith or an alchy

Depends. What are your current equips, do you have some decent ones?
If not, I reccommend Alchy, because equipless BS's mostly end up random looting in Skellington. As an alchy you can just create an homunculus that levels for you, meanwhile you go to the yggdrasill tree, and farm some blue herbs. Make a potion from these and NPC them. Easy/legal zeny earning, and pretty good EXP.
