Title: Forging Questions

I spent some time reading up on blacksmith/whitesmith. Below are some questions I couldn't find answers for:

1. Forging weapons, will they have card slots? Will they have the same amount of card slots that the NPC merchants sell them for?

2. Elemental Weapons with Card Slots?
I think I read somewhere that there are no elemental weapons with card slots? Is this true?
