ok so i have the old "AnimaRo" [full set-up] disk and i installed it on my comp so i could play Anthem so everything is over and done so what do i do next?

the sakray patch is going fine. Try posting a picture of your ro folder for a further view of it.

it showed me the Anima Patyhcer than it showed me the Cannot init something

oh wait. Your AnthemRO setup is still running. Just wait till it finish ^^

Download an up-to-date client to save yourself some trouble @_@

You CAN download the Mini Setup only, but it will take hours to patch your Sakray.
Mini Client: http://72.55.188.250/installer/Mini.msi . Install it to your C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO folder, and use AnthemPatch.exe (NOT AnimaPatch.exe) afterwards.
Full Client (I highly recommend you to use this one! Don't forget to patch your Anthem client after the installation): http://72.55.188.250/installer/Full.msi

Actually, the Mini Client will be downloaded faster, since the file is not as big as the Full Client, but you need to patch your Sakray client afterwards, and if it starts somewhen in 2006, it will take hours to patch. Full Client is simply: Download, install, patch Anthem client, play!

I just saw your other post, you're already downloading a more up-to-date client via the All-in-One installer. That one should suffice, but don't forget to patch your Anthem client afterwards. Also, delete the folder with the old Anima client, it's simply too old. ._.

Well i paused the All in one and just decided to download the Full one to avoid problems and stuff....

Ok Download the full client....
and Ran the Anthem Patch

and then i got this
CANNOT INIT D3D OR GRF HAS A PROBLEM ERRORS:

The following may help.

KNOWN FIXES FOR CANNOT INIT D3D OR GRF FILE HAS PROBLEM

-Update your video driver and direct x.
-Make sure your video driver is listed in the ragnarok setup (to get to set up, go to the folder you have ro installed in and click the icon that says Setup). <= Kaypha mentioned this one.. if it's not there, install your video driver.
-Set to full screen mode.
-Lower your settings in the RO Setup (usually, this doesn't make much of a difference but I know of one case where it did).
-Be sure the resolution you're using in the RO setup is the same one you use on your computer.
-Check to see if you're using 'Direct3D HAL' in the RO Setup. If not, choose that one. If you are, choose the other.
-Make sure Remote desktop sharing isn't enabled (to do so, open up netmeeting, and under tools, go to Remote Desktop Sharing and go through the whole setup thing. After that completes, go back to tools and uncheck Remote desktop sharing to disable it). Remote Desktop has a nasty habit of sometimes not allowing other applications to use directdraw.

Nvidia Video Drivers - http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
ATI Video Drivers - http://ati.com/support/driver.html

If none of this works, run the Directx diags and look for problems there. to run these diags, go Start => Run => type "dxdiag"

Once you get there, check out the Display tab. This will allow you to make sure directdraw and direct3d are working properly and enabled.
