Title: grf problem..
Post by: impish on September 09, 2008, 11:12:46 pm
I just downloaded the anthem server onto my laptop and everything went perfectly until i tried to click it open. It doesn't let me open the game. It just says, "cannot init d3d OR grf fil has problem"... what do i do now..

Go into C:/Program Files/Gravity/RO/ (or where ever you installed) And look for a file called setup.exe Run that
*Switch to your graphics card (Intel 828 Integrated, ATI Radeon, etc), or switch to Direct3D, OpenGL if your graphics card is selected *Switch from fullscreen to windowed, of if you're in windowed already, switch to fullscreen *Don't use widescreen resolutions. Only use normal screen modes such as 640x480, 800x600, and 1024x768

Your drivers are more than likely corrupt.
Could you tell me what graphics card you use?

I'm not very familiar with macs, however, based off of this thread http://communities.vmware.com/message/966160#966160 It appears the best solution is to use boot camp.

would it be necessary to use bootcamp when i already installed in through fusion? it worked when downloading anthem, but the grf just didnt work.
ahh, i just checked by running dxdiag and found out that i dont have the d3d acceleration, nor agp texture acceleration available. uh oh?
I got it running on the mac ::) i just used parallels instead of bootcamp. thanks!
