Title: VERY NEW TO THIS STUFF

well ok....im fairly new to the RO private servers i have no idea how to set it up, Frankly i was new to RO but my trial expired....soo ya.

umm please tell me, (DONT GIVE ME A GUIDE) on it please. cause i used to play maple story p servers and all u had to do was extract it into ms ver 55... soo please tell me what to do first....like when to install this server and stuff give me a tutorial

Lol, well, the all-in-one installer downloads everything for you. Which is what you downloaded. My suggestion to you (until I perfect the installer) is to do it this way:

1. http://adrive.com/public/d7b67c624ef6b131f90d8addc3a76088a81292795dfeedf1ed0c75513f696137.html <--download & install
2. http://file.ratemyserver.net/rofiles.exe <--download and install to the folder that you installed the first program to.
3. Open the All-In-One installer that you downloaded previously, and select Mini Install then install that to your RO folder (where you originally installed everything to)
4. Click on Anthem Patch and you're done :)

uummmmmz...ok when i do the full installer so i dont have to do all that it seems to stop at beggining about  Ro core is it still going just Really Slow??   and im starting ur method see wich one completes faster..

Yeah, the downloading is pretty slow.

I heard its better to start downloading before you go to sleep and once you wake up it will most likely be done or almost done.

k thanks im probably gonna be a pain to you lolz anyway theres no chance of this server shutting down soon right? cause alot of p servers of maplestory i join they shut down soon....O.O soo yaz im guessing this server will be up forever it is rated 3rd on the site i use... But ya thanks

No bother I enjoy helping new players.

Also, I don't think the server will shut down soon. We are going into a new episode. So shutting down is a pretty far.

What do u mean new episode? answer that please an also server is   75% finished downloading so ya cant wait....in most games im archer,unless theres a way to summon, Can mages summon?

Episodes are basically new updates. Like Maps, Items, Monsters or sometimes quests. (I think I got it right. If not someone correct me xD)

only alchemists can sumon stuffys mostly plants /heh and of course the homunculus that fights for them
also the servers hardware will be updated along with the episode so its verry unlikely that it'll close anytime soon ~nyo^^

You can choose between Knight and Crusader but first you have to be a swordsman and get to job level 40 or 45 or anywhere in between. :]

umm im having some trouble finding launcher..i think i found it in RO file...but when i start it it says

no clientinfo file

cannot init d3d or grf file has problem so im kinda stuck...

then i tried to start updater it did a couple things and when it was done it gives u the send error report so of course i say no and it exits it out... so i dont know what to do so please help me

ok after i did alternatice skray update thing it now says when i say start game after it it says   (Ragnarok/pservers/gravity/RO/Data/Rixsquirrel_10.eot)

i have no idea what to do when i try to start game again it says same thing!!

Don't start the game from Alternative Sakray. Once Alternative Sakray is finished, just close it and then go to AnthemPatch.exe

i said when i go to anthempatch it finishes then it gives me the message (send error report,  dont send error report) of course i clik no and it just closes the program...so i dont know what to do ive restarted my computer countless numbers of times...so please help me i really want to play T.T

Copy the message and paste it here.  Although more than likely you're missing setup.exe


One second.

Go to [Run] under the start menu, and put in 'C:/Program Files/Gravity/RO/'.

Look through the folder (there should be a lot of files), and find the one called [Setup].  If there isn't any called setup, then download this and put it in your folder, then try again.

The d3d error has something to do with either your graphics card (either the card itself cannot run RO or you need to update its driver) or it can be DirectX problem ..... I got that error with the computer I am stuck with until I get my computer shipped to my new location ..... Did not want to mess with anything so I am RO-less until my computer is shipped :(

ok first the guy above me (NO HELP) sorry but u just said im screwed...ive ran the regular RO before...and i have setup in the RO folder... i have no idea what message u want me to copy and paste...BE more specific please

When it gives you the gravity error, there's a button to copy.  Click that and paste it in a message here.

O.O no it doesnt my friend told me to update using alternative sakray and when it finishes and i press start game it gives me a message and doesnt allow me to copy...O.O

and then some random symbols i cant type

After Alt Sakray finishes patching, hold [Alt] and press [F4].  Then go into your RO folder and run AnthemPatch.  What message pops up there?

I'm sorry, but I'm just confused as to what you're doing, and want to make sure I'm not giving out bad instructions.


EDIT:

Go into your RO folder, and Right Click -> Rename the folder to 1data.  Then try again.

right now im on the verge of a breakthrough i pressed the button that says ragnarok and its doing some sort of patch its been going on for an hour or so when its done and if game doesnt worki ill give u that message ok?

ok look when i did what u said it gives this message!

AnthemPatch.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close sorry for the inconvenience  and then 2 options  send error report and dont send      IT DOES THIS EVERYTIME  T.T  when i do anthempatcher or whatever

If the progress bar is moving, let it run.

If it's stopped in the middle and wont move, close it and reopen it.

If it's stopped at the end, it's repacking the files.  If it's like that for more than 20 minutes, close it and try again.

the bar with the message i just talkked about,?  anyway the bar is FINISHED and it wont allow me to press start cause of the stupid message no matter wich option i check it closes. this think im working on right now IS A HUGE PATCH its only on lik 2006 stuff... and if all this doesnt work..im screwed i really want to do this...T.T

Erm, you're going to need to redownload a new sakray client if patching fails.

EDIT:

Make sure it is an up to date one.

No sorry but this patcher may be my solution and then to fix my d3d and grf problem all i mgiht have to do is change screen resolution lolol  i read  problems and solutions on this site...O.O it helped me alot i think i might get this to work  :3 but stay in touch just in case please
