Title: All my accounts banned!! why??

My younger brother was playing with my account when he suddenly called me and said that he can't log in any more, i said that he probably forgot the password. So i personally tried to log in my account... and it didn't work, it says my account was blocked by the gamemaster team!! I kept asking my brother what the hell did he do, but according to him he was just playing normally.

I tried to research in the forums section about accounts that were blocked. Reasons are that they were either kill stealing, wrong vending, looting or botting. I've also found out that all your accounts gets banned if you are botting or messing with the gamemasters. I checked out all accounts and.. BOOM! they were all blocked!!! why?? I asked my brother if he was typing bad words but he said that he wasn't even typing at all. also, I don't even know how to bot, and i definitely don't want to try!! what do i do?? i had big plans for that account, nikkolang27.

PLEASE!! I NEED HELP!!!!! WHAT DO I DO????????

I got banned but my *dog* did something </sarcasm> or my HAMSTER </evenmoresarcasm>

AKA: You were probably banned for botting, stop trying to say your brother didn't and he didn't type at all. If you failed a bot check, you *really* failed it and are a 100% bot.

i just started playing for like 2 months ago, i worked hard for that character, and now it's lost for *botting* reason that i dont even know how.. and i just created this forum account just to do that... please.. really need help... i didn't even know what a bot is up until now, this the 2nd mmorpg that i was playing, the first was flyff, there was no botting or whatever sounds like it i've heard there... please.. help.. tell me what icould do.. please..

Here's a blunt but firm way of putting this.
You OR your "brother" botted.
You *cannot* fail a botcheck unless you bot that character.

Why don't you post the name of that character then, afraid of actually GIVING away the proof that you botted?

the name of the character was 'moneybot'... what?? there was the word bot in the name and i suddenly got banned for that?? and don't tell me you don't know who moneybot is??????????????

Actually, that character did fail bot check.  Ask your brother what happened during bot check.

moneybot  banned for botting.

A total of 6 accounts banned.

In the Banned Bots topic. You botted and FAILED the botcheck. Thus your accounts got banned. (Oh and there's *no* mistake about it, you'd have to *really* bot to fail the botcheck. Also! If you let other people onto your account, you *still* take responsibility for the account)

what is a bot check anyway?? checking if the character is botting ryt? but how?? my brother (which you probably don't believe exists) told me what he told.. he was playing like i asked him to, and got logged out.. and then he called me..

We do a check against your client. You bot it tells us. Only other way to fail is if you are using another client not released by anthem... Which is also bannable. Only real players pass bot check.

By the way, your accounts were banned over 2 hours ago. Your timeline seems a bit off.

i checked what nya said about my name in the banned bots section.. i did saw my name.. and the 6 accounts banned.. what are those clients you were talking about?? does it concern having multiple anthemro program open in one computer?? i had 3 opened and minimized.. is that one probable reason??

You posted in the bots report section instead of *any* other section, that's tipoff #1.
Tipoff #2 is the "story" about your "brother" logging off and couldn't get back on. So your little brother is a bot?  ::)

There is no innocent when it comes to someone failing a bot check. So yes, you or your "brother" is guilty of botting on your accounts, which is against the rules.

nope, i posted in the bug reports first and then posted here also.. i don't think anyone here believes me... i'm not that stupid not to know hopw to manage in a forums sections...
and my brother(who i think you are thinking is imaginary) is not a bot, like duh, i should know.. he got logged off and while typing the password to reenter,, there he couldn't anymore..  >:(

Honestly, there is no unbanning for botting, as your accts failed a bot check that can only be failed by botting or running anthem w/a 3rd party client. Best you can do is start over and follow the rules.

O.o is this like, if u play in 2 servers when bot checked you get banned? O.o i dont get it (¬¬ and my major is computer engineering.... <.< gotta learn more)

Botting is one thing, but acting stupid and not having the balls to admit it takes it to a new level. Omgomg my broooooooooother. Of couuuuuurse! At two PM! I have noooooooooo idea what happened! And I never talk to players in-game because I can't speak English, am anti-social and my brother can't yet talk.

Honestly, stop botting and actually play the game, like everybody else.

Is this tru? I play *blankblank*Ro and both of those are in my gravity folder, i wouldnt wanna get banned for something like that.

I think the modified client is especially stuff that allows you to see invisible characters and such, but my guess is that there is also a chance that the client is modified in a way - such as having certain graphic files and stuff - so that you'd fail the bot test.
I'd play safe and not do it.

Well i started playing that Ro first, i came here under the recomandation of a friend. I'm just gonna play it safe and put anthem in a different folder

Someone needs to explain that using a "different client" thus making u fail bot check part cuz its the first time i seen it as a basis. @On Topic: dude ur story seems like it was just made up @_@ u have no idea how many times we've seen that story used as an excuse ur better off making a ludicrous story^^

Different client = modified client.

About having several different RO servers installed to the same folder, you wouldn't be able to connect to Anthem with another server's connection client anyway. Only problem would be conflicting data resulting in inability to run various things, which creates problems on your end and have nothing to do with bot behavior or test failing really.

well some of these guys seem like jerks in here. My only tip to you is just leave anthem if you don't want to work hard again. I can't help you with your account lost problem. I myself don't know about bot checks or how they work, only about what a bot is. as for why he posted here seriously people. He probably saw his name getting banned and posted in the bot section, cause he was "caught" for botting. Some of you are so dense sometimes /sigh ya posting in general questions would have been better, but at the same time if you're not familiar to the forums you probably would post here in the Bot Reports section asking why?.

I think he should go find the report in which he was so called "found out" to see if his so called "bro" was really telling the truth. But maybe you were just using the wrong client. And cause you've no idea what the hell we're talking about. The program you downloaded to use AnthemRO. Did you download the one from the AnthemRO website or the iRO website? you can only use the two programs. if you downloaded the one from the iRO website you would have had to download AnthmRO patch.

You shouldn't have different servers in the same folder. This has nothing to do with rules, but simply having them all in one folder runs you the risk of having random bugs come up, and possibly not being able to connect at all. It's definitely best to keep each server in its own folder.

No, he definitely is botting and just got caught again. I did a different check, to see if he was using our client or even another client. The reaction showed that it was a bot totally.

The new accounts were even titled "vengeance" and were all online simultaneously leveling away.

Fanger, I understand your desire to help a possibly new player who isn't sure if he's using the correct client, however, the bot checks done (not just 1 type of bot check) he failed.

The pathetic thing of this is that hes botting on a Private server. If your going to bot, Do it on the official server. Get banned there. This server doesn't need idiots like you filling the streets with automated Computers. ORLY!?

ok understandable, /no1 I just like to have lots of proof ^_^ kind of like just cause you have a gun that killed someone doesn't mean you were the killer.

It can cause errors when trying to log in because sometimes the files from the other server might rewrite over the files meant for anthem. Thus causing errors to pop up.

It's not an issue of being allowed to or not allowed to. It's an issue of things not working properly if you mix them all together. If you want your game to work right, keep the different servers in different folders.

Don't feel too bad. Last night my two accounts got blocked.  I found out later that my older brother was botting on his comp... he didn't even log my accounts at all so why did they get banned too?  O well, moving on to a different server I guess.  Good luck OP.

If anyone cares he was botting under colostomy_bag_smoothie.
