Title: PvP Rules?
Post by: DreamerP on July 07, 2008, 07:54:18 pm
I want to verify some rules....

First, The PvP chasing rule...How long do you have to wait till you can chase the intended target to another room?

Second, If you use a different character to chase a person through PvP rooms does that account get a penalty or if it's a ban just that account or a complete IP ban?

Third, If you use a friends character to chase through PvP rooms what are the penalties? Also if the target can prove that's it's the same person from the other room using another character which character recieves punishment?

I would prefer GM verification............

1) Should be soon after obviously. If he/she kills you 5-10 minutes+ later, its likely that they were just switching rooms.
And if you're the one chasing, then you should wait a while. I don't suggest doing it though. Some people take PvP way to seriously, seemingly.
2)Links with the first one. I'd assume that it depends on the time period between the two incidents. I don't know the punishments exactly.
3) You'd have to be able to prove it, then most likely the person who's chasing you will get punnished. The character he/she uses will probably
get punnished at first as well; But the friend can most likely send a support ticket in to get it cleared up. Probably would take a while though.

I'm no GM, but that's what Common sence dictates.

Seriously though, If you're being chased, give pvp a rest for a while.
You won't be able to get someone punnished unless you have proof of you trying to avoid them. (In alot of cases)

That's the only part I disagree with.
: "If you give out your password to anyone, you take FULL responsibility for their actions (including botting/scamming/item loss/character deletion)."
The "friend" would get full punishment as it's their fault for sharing.

Reason why I think a GM wont verify any of these is people will push the rules limits(or w/e you call it when you get as close as possible to breaking a rule without breaking it) If they decided 20 minutes was enough time, then a player might screen shot their last time killing someone, time it, screen shot and begin killing in a different room or something.

I think it's all depends on the situation and circumstances that occured during the harassment..  I'm pretty sure the GMs base their decision on the details within the evidence provided..
